AMD released its first Dell G5 15 SE-specific OEM driver update, with a single package providing drivers for the APU (iGPU) and Radeon RX 5600M discrete GPU of the notebook. This would be AMD's first Radeon Software release in over a month, as the AAA game release cycle has cooled down, and AMD has its hands full with several new OEM designs to develop drivers for. The G5 15 SE comes with processor options that include the "Renoir" Ryzen 5 4600H and Ryzen 7 4700H; and Radeon RX 5600M discrete GPU option.

I was looking forward to this, but then I saw the weird angular design instead of the decent shape the previous iteration had... and no rear ports at that. Oh well.

I'm waiting for the 5700M version to come out. Sad that the USB-C port on this is only DisplayPort Alt Mode though. It would've been nice if Dell had integrated a Titan Ridge controller for TB3.

This is kinda laptop I’ve been waiting to see. The CPU has already been deemed excellent and now paired with new AMD mobile GPU. Of course pm like Cheesball, bring on the 5700M. Let’s pull out all the stops and finally regain some traction in the mobile space Intel has had a stranglehold on with the very little innovation they just have held all the contracts...

I'm just curious, do you play at a higher res than Full HD with your laptop? Because the 5600M should be plenty enough for 1080P, even for the next years.

There are plenty of high Hz laptop panels available that more power the better and of course AMD should release a top SKU for the gaming laptops.

Why is there a specific driver update for a OEM? Does this mean that one with this Notebook can't update The Adrenaline software when it update and has to wait The OEM update?

It’s probably a bit to early/to make that speculation. AMD committed to supporting mobile products and the current adrenalines do have support for existing mobile products so not sure their long term plans with these new products.

@INSTG8R nailed it. Its not that I need it for higher-than-FullHD resolutions, but more for higher minimum FPS. I want minimum drops above 110 FPS when competing.
