French retailer Materiel.net listed the upcoming AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT, Ryzen 7 3800XT, and Ryzen 5 3600XT desktop processors. The 3900XT is listed at 499€, the 3800XT at 459€, and the 3600XT at 319€, inclusive of VAT. These prices could be opportunistic, and set entirely by the retailer to win some attention toward pre-orders. A VideoCardz report points to the possibility of the XT series SKUs being nominally pricier than the current prices of the 3900X, 3800X, and 3600X. The 3600XT is reported as being exactly $28 pricier than the 3600X, which would put its price back at $250, given the $220-ish running rate for a 3600X. Unless AMD is beating Intel at gaming performance, the company could price the 3900XT and 3800XT competitively against the i9-10900K and i7-10700K, respectively (and not exactly match them). AMD is expected to announce its 3rd generation Ryzen "Matisse Refresh" Ryzen XT desktop processors in mid-June, with availability expected in early-July, 2020.

I'm guessing in USD:

3900XT = $479.99
3800XT = $359.99
3600XT = $249.99

The 3800X can be phased out, since it was unnecessary to begin with. The 3700X can comfortably sit at $299.99 for people who need the cores but don't care about high clock speeds. The 3900X can stay at $419.99 and put pressure on the 10700K.

I wouldn't try to infer anything from the pricing on that site as the prices of the non-XT are also inflated.

3900X 514€ <-more expensive than XT?
3800X 429€
3600X 269€

Will be interesting to see if this improves game benchmarks against Intel at 1080p. I doubt it, but we will see. Seems like a silly release to me, instead of wasting TSMC's time on this, they should be pumping out RDNA2 and Zen 3 on 5nm as fast as possible.

from early benchmark, there is only a small added value in games.
but we have to wait and see the full reviews.

Where are you getting this from?
check the screenshot, they display the size of the cache.
70MB for 3900XT (64MB the 3900X)
36MB for the 3800XT (32MB the 3800X)

i think what happened was they didn't realize they would have a breakthrough at 5nm so fast, and so now they are re-using there last of old stock 7nm chips and adding some more cache and a tiny bump in speed to get rid of the old chips as 5nm rushes in for zen 3 :D

70MB cache is the total size. 3900X already has that 6MB L2 + 64MB L3.

A clockspeed increase + more cache without a tdp increase would be quite the feat.

All ryzen series memory timing and sub timing If their optimizations are missing, the games lose 10-20% performance, so all of the tests you see on the internet are misleading and incomplete.

3600 CAS 16 is still the sweet spot, gamersnexus did through testing and benches on this (for those that want to xmp set it and forget it with QVL list)

I think he is referring to using Dram Calculator for Ryzen.

Be quite cautious about those listing, here in France, materiel.net is one of the most expensive e-retailers, all their prices are inflated.

I came here to say this.

Ignore pricing, nobody sensible shops at material.net in France.

I also believe they are not selling nearly as many Threadripper CPUs as the last gen and these parts may have been intended for TR40.

I begin to see pattern here. New XT models and then short after news about Zen 3 will be 5 nm.

Something tells me the XT models might be the 7 NM+ node zen 3 originally whas planned with. That will explain how AMD can so suddenly get 200-300 mhz ekstra core clock in base/boost. 3900XT are even 100 mhz higher than 3950X max boost clock with out increased tdp.

It also makes sense if zen 3 truly will be 5 nm. This is a good opportunity to give Intel more trouble and come closer to intels 10 Gen gaming performance.

I don't believe for a second that Zen 3 is on N5.
Fake news are circulating the nets these days.
First article - Zen 3 will be 1.5 nm, 30 minutes later - no, it will be 6 nm, 1 day later it will be N5...

maybe they tested both 7nm and 5nm, and checked what TSMC can deliver on time.
maybe going to 5nm directly its a way to insure they can deliver the XBOX and PS5 on time. they'll reserve the 7nm production for these consoles + new GPUs
and they are able to also deliver the CPU but in 5nm.

answer soon ;-)
