I can read 1000 posts on the internet about this, but I think this line says everything.

It works, and it works because when in the past AMD was doing something controversial you would read dozens if not hundreds of articles and editorials all over the internet about that and why it was a mistake or just plain wrong. Today we see OEMs artificialy limiting their AMD offerings compared to Intel equivalent models and.... nothing. People talk, tech sites, not really. They will acknowledge the problem, sometimes and that's it. No analysis, no opinion, no blaming, nothing.

So, it still works.

I don't think so.

AMD Ryzen 9 4900HS Review, Move Aside Intel, Your Days of Laptop Domination Are Over

You missed the point. I didn't say that reviews don't show Renoir's dominance, I am saying that there are NO articles/editorials/mentions, talking about what is going on in the market, with OEMs sabotaging their own products. I mean, they are sabotaging their own products. It's almost paranoid.

For example, TechSpot's article that was posted today about the new HP Omen laptops(TechSpot and Hardware Unboxed in your YouTube video are one and the same), makes no specific mention on the fact that the Renoir models are artificially limited. In fact in the article it only mentions that Renoir lacks Thunderbolt 3 and also gives the impression that both Intel and AMD models can be configured with the same hardware options. This is not true. In the comment section there are a couple of posts criticizing the fact that the article avoids to mention those facts.

People see what is going on. Sites are really trying hard to avoid to write specific articles about it. You might hear the reviewer saying that "this is unfortunate/wrong/bad/something", but that will be a 10 seconds comment in a 20 minutes review at best. You will have to try hard to find an article from a big tech site talking about this issue specifically.

Well, that's not entirely true. Both AdoredTV and SemiAccurate multiple times used to criticise both Intel and Nvidia.

That's how I read it to, hmmm 125w keep doing that global warming... don't do the other guy... lol what a joke. i wish i could get paid millions to say dumb stuff. lot of CEO's say lots of dumb stuff. its really amazing how capitalism has nothing to do with any of it sometimes. some people just get fitted into slots and volume buying gives them more power than they deserve, lol

Hey, gotta justify that paycheck somehow. Poor guy is probably just trying to set up some sort of defense for when the board and investors meet next and are out for blood.

Intel products are fine but the prices are not. The 10700 for example is a very good 8c16t CPU, but not at a 25% price premium over the 3700x.

Intel's undoing will be the massive margins they still want on these products.

especially since they save on crappy heatsinks vs amd, and all their history of security flaws in recent years, they can longer justify the premium imo until they prove themselves again.

That's something they are unwilling to do because that's practically throwing up a white flag, and without a clear plan for the future such a move would heavily impact investor confidence. So they're doing their best to put on a show that they're still competitive. Intel is slowly running out road.

This is what happens when you sit on your arse for nearly a decade & milk your base & everyone else for max profits! The fact that Intel has had to change the narrative shows how far they're behind purely in terms of overall performance & the approach AMD, or the rest of the industry, is taking & perhaps how long it'll take them to catch up. Make no mistake Intel can catch up & likely leapfrog AMD in the future ~ that however is an indefinite future & Intel's many statements & messages echo that!

It won't happen. Intel would need to surpass TSMC which will happen after hell freezes over.

These company reminds me of the Blackberry day. Blackberry sat on their @ss thinking they're king and nobody can beat them... Bam! Apple overtook the smartphone market within a short period of time. RIP blackberry. Hopefully not RIP Intel too :(
Hopefully, AMD overtook the performance crown from Nvidia. Sry AMD fanboi, unless AMD win performance crown, I don't care if you pay peanut for your card. It don't matter.
IIRC one of the co ceo's at RIM said the iPhone was "amatuer hour". That surely came back to haunt him.

Not happening. Even if they actually start to lose money in their CPU business, Intel is a monster with many other heads that generate profit.
True. But they are being hammered on all fronts by extremely powerful foes. Time and circumstances are different today.

That's something they are unwilling to do because that's practically throwing up a white flag, and without a clear plan for the future such a move would heavily impact investor confidence. So they're doing their best to put on a show that they're still competitive. Intel is slowly running out road.
They have had to cut prices and raise the core counts. The tide is turning and it will just get worse for Intel. Only comparison I can think of is Boeing. Letting bean counters run things onstead of engineers.
