Today, Electronic Arts Inc. launched the first wave of 25+ EA games on Steam, with more on the way. Starting today, players can explore BioWare 's award-winning Role-Playing Games - Dragon Age : Inquisition and Dragon Age II, experience high-speed, white-knuckle driving action in Need for Speed Heat, Need for Speed: Rivals and Need for Speed (2016) and battle it out in the wacky, fun and over-the-top shooter, Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville. A selection of the bold and innovative games from EA's indie development partners like Unravel, Unravel II, Fe and Sea of Solitude will also become available. Additionally, these games and many others will be available as part of an EA Access subscription on Steam that will launch to players later this summer.

"We want to make it easy to play the games you love, wherever you want to play. Delivering games to the Steam community is an important step in achieving this goal," said Mike Blank, SVP, Strategic Growth. "Not only are we excited to have our games on Steam, but we look forward to bringing them even more value when our subscription becomes available in the Summer."

New EA games developed for PC will also launch on Steam alongside other platforms, including the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection which launches tomorrow, providing mod support with the Steam Workshop as this game is one of the first major RTS franchises to open source their source code under the GPL. The compilation, which was made for and with the help of the community, is comprised of Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn, Command & Conquer: Red Alert and their three expansion packs - Covert Ops, Counterstrike and The Aftermath.

EA Access gives members access to a broad portfolio of EA games, valuable member benefits and discounts on full EA game purchases, expansions and in-game items. EA has been offering subscription services since 2014, and currently reaches players on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Origin platforms. For more information on EA's subscription services, please visit www.ea.com/subscribe. More information on games bound for Steam coming soon.

Need for speed was fun, but as it was community based, and empty, it wasn't too fun, lol.

Translated: "Why every company should have its own launcher when Steam works well and gives access to millions of gamers. And now with Epic as an alternative, it's even less necessary to have so many launchers."

Uhmm the dead of Origin ?

Prolly have to run Origin too, this is just more EA \ advertising BS.

I am not buying games on Origin because it uses it, it's because their game suck ass.

I already preordered C&C collection, now I hope the 4k version is as good as should be.

"Kane lives" hehe

Hope they do a better job than Blizz did not to long ago.

Why is there a no mention of the Origin requirement a.k.a EA account and their client ?

This is BS, get it on Steam and still use Origin. What's the use ? Achievements ? or just giving more money to Steam but still people have to use their trash Origin. They should have launched their portfolio like Crysis 2 and 3, BFBC2, BF2142 on GOG along with Steam, BF3,4 need their servers for MP so they ain't gonna make to GOG for sure. NFS Is OL only anyways, Heat was hot garbage, lot of POC nodding and it's not Blackbox anymore who is making NFS. DA2I is horrible garbage again.

No thanks EA.

Launch? Don't they mean 25+ games that were already on Steam but they pulled when they launched origin because they are a bunch of greedy fuxkwits that have no business sense?

I originally bought Dragon Age on Steam, and it came with unique DLC. Then the game got yanked and moved to Origin. They credited my game but the DLC was always screwy, and the expansion never quite worked right either. What's funny is that I just bought on G.O.G. last week because that site has its shit together and bundles the game and all the DLC for $5 and the expansion even works, best of all no logging into the nonexistent servers. Now you are telling me it's back on Steam so I wonder if it will automatically be back in my library...oh well...

Some of the pricing is absurd. $20 for decade plus old games? There is no shame at EA.

Cool, I guess... There were few games that I wanted, but got totally disinterested in over the past decade.
I may get something like Dragon Age: Inquisition when[if] they fix it, but that's kinda it. Still no Mass Effect 3, though (I'm not mentioning Andromeda - it does not exist for me).

I hope so.
I only have that stupid program because of the Battlefields and I hated every second of using it.

Apart from C&C, you actually need the Origin client a la Ubisoft, so no thanks. I boycotted EA when they left Steam and Ubisoft is sadly no different.

Now if Electronic Arts would remaster Nox that would be wonderful. Even better would be a new Nox game based in vain of the original that's legitimate improvement upon everything it did well from the campaign to the multiplayer experience. Nox was a great game across the board people for the most part liked it unanimously for either the campaign the multiplayer or both reasons it was a quality game thru and thru. A new Nox game with real time ray tracing would be spectacular I think especially when you take into consideration the original game's innovation at the time in terms of the lighting and shading approach. Sure looking at it today it's not super impressive, but for the time there wasn't much in comparison to it actually and was a bold graphical approach.

There are so many bugs in Mass Effect 2 after DLC was added to the game. I really hope Bioware announces a remaster or package soon, all the DLC included for free, no more bugs (fix them all, the Kasumi mission end bug, the Shadow Broker leave the base bug, the quick bar bug, these are 3 serious completely game breaking bugs!).

Just say no to EA...

Even on Steam, even at discount prices, there is no way I'm giving EA a dime.
I'd pirate the games I want if they were any good but EA has destroyed so many franchies with their BS.
