XPG, a provider of high-performance products for gamers, esports pros, and tech enthusiasts, is pleased to announce that it has expanded its DDR4 overclocking testing program with a new working relationship with leading motherboard maker, GIGABYTE. Following the heels of the launch of the Intel Z490 chipset, XPG began testing and overclocking its new DDR4 modules with the latest Z490 platforms, as well as AMD B550 platforms, to ensure they meet the highest standards of overclocking performance and stability. This latest cooperation with GIGABYTE is a furtherance of this endeavor.

In cooperation with GIGABYTE, the XPG Overclocking Lab (XOCL) was able to overclock the XPG SPECTRIX D50 DDR4 module to 4800 MHz on the GIGABYTE Z490 AORUS XTREME WATERFORCE motherboard. Following this impressive result, the XOCL proceeded to test other XPG DDR4 modules on an array of other GIGABYTE motherboards to similar results.

The XPG DDR4 modules used included the: SPECTRIX D50, D60G, D80, D41 and GAMMIX D30, D10. The GIGABYTE motherboards used included the: Z490 AORUS XTREME, AORUS MASTER, AORUS ULTRA,AORUS PRO AX, AORUS ELITE AC,AORUS ELITE, VIOSON G as well as the AMD B550 AORUS MASTER, AORUS PRO AC, AORUS PRO, and VISION D.

The SPECTRIX D60G, D50, D80, D41 and GAMMIX D30, D10 are built with high-quality chips and heat sinks for excellent signal integrity, reliability, and stability, which effectively extends the lifespan of the memory modules. What's more, they feature Intel Extreme Memory Profiles (XMP) 2.0 for making overclocking a snap and providing enhanced system stability. The SPECTRIX D80 has the further distinction of being the world's first RGB DDR4 module to sport a hybrid liquid-air cooling system. It utilizes the combination of a liquid heatsink hermetically sealed with a non-conductive fluid and an aluminium heatsink to deliver effective thermal cooling.

The XOCL is dedicated to pushing the limits of memory performance and was the first facility of its kind among worldwide DRAM makers when it was founded in 2018. THE XOCL works closely with various partners in the industry, such as GIGABYTE, to ensure its products are highly compatible with multiple platforms and are able to meet the discerning performance standards of gamers, esports pros, and tech enthusiasts. In May 2018, the XOCL overclocked the XPG SPECTRIX D80 RGB DDR4 memory module to 5531 MHz in a liquid-nitrogen-cooled configuration. In May 2019, the XOCL overclocked the SPECTRIX D60G memory module to a frequency of 5738MT/s, a new world record.

It most definitely intrigued me , the notion of ram clocked higher than the cpu , yet those ram access latencies those latencies are on "par" with my 3200mhz c15/16 cr2(dual ranked dimms) , in regards to the am4 Ryzen 3nnnx results.

Why would Gigabyte partner with XPG when they market their own brand of Ram?
Surely it would make more sense to further develop their own brand.

high end mobo are x570. FULLSTOP
Most high end AM4 boards have the X570 chipset to them, yes, but the STRIX B550-F and ASRock B550 Taichi are perfect example of "high end" motherboards based on AM4 using the B550 chipset. They are more "high end" than many X570 motherboards, and cost as such too. This chipset aint strictly for budget products, nor does AMD market it as such.
