Overhyped and rather short game, a one off. Do you think they've learned then? We've seen them flip flop before, didn't do much in the greater scheme of things.

But maybe, just maybe you're right, maybe the franchise owner of Star Wars got so fed up with bad publicity they adjusted the profit margins and take a bigger hit now to produce sane content. I hope you're right. Maybe it will enforce a change that is bigger than Star Wars games alone if EA gets to see the light.

Not holding my breath though... this one requires a LOT of wishful thinking.

Fallen Order was a single-player story-driven game. It doesn't fall into this competitive online category and cannot be treated as such.

For all EA online multiplayer server-based games there are microtransactions and lootboxes out the wazoo. That's their business model....

That's exactly how Battlefront II started out, which was the reason I refused to buy it when it came out. I hate the whole "Pay 2 Win" scheme with a passion, and that's exactly what it was. But then EA changed their tune once people whipped out teh pitchforks and demanded change, which is how Battlefront II became what it is now. Granted, BF II is the only EA game I play strictly online (I also play The Sims 4, but I turn off access to the online features) so I'm not sure how games like Battlefield operate, with the whole microtransaction thing.

I am only interested in checking out the VR aspect of the game, but there's no way a title like this will hold my interest for more than a month of playing. So....option #4-- Origin Access it is. $9.99 with all extra content included. I'll more than get my fill of it in that time frame and then move on (probably even check out a couple other titles during the month to possibly buy on sale later).

I know I’m a total outlier but they’ve said it will have full HOTAS support(My X52 Pro is ready) but I’d love TrackIR support, I know I’m dreaming but in ED it makes a huge difference for a “non VR” experience.

Right now, I'm almost convinced of buying the game the moment it comes out.

But the one thing that I haven't seen yet is whether or not single player mode will allow for custom matches. I'd really like to face at least a few dozens TIE fighters, not just 5, by myself.

Ugly people, too much of the political baggage in the came from narration to the characters. This game looks very generic POS MMO latest fad type game, just like that Apex legends. Also given it's EA I don't have any trust, in before some one says SW Jedi Fallen order nope that was hot garbage and Star Wars under Disney is rotting corpse. Not even worth pirating guys.
