Real or fake, I am hyped for Nvidia's next release. Althrow I fear for what the prices might be. Rtx 2080 ti took a significant price jump over gtx 1080 TI.

Well, as the sayings go:

Just take your gold card, your banker, and HIS gold card with ya to the store for the moar moohlah powa !......

There are limits for how much I am willing to pay for a new gpu and that is around the 600-800 USD. So I am properly not going to be a rtx 3080 ti owner any way, more likely rtx 3080 none TI. It might change, it all depends on price, performance and how my economy is then they release and off cause do i also have income for new parts to replace my aging X58 system as well.

A rtx 3080 ti or rtx 3080 none ti + a Ryzen 9 4950X setup. Hmm the last one sound like a better solution in my case. Pairing a rtx 3080 ti with an old I7 980x I don't think is a wise choice.

What are you hoping for singing dancing elves to magic the heat away? That's like complaining that cellphones are rectangular.

You misunderstood me.
My complaint/remark is not that the card needs a cooler, its that this is a "leak" that does not reveal anything, its a strix cooler, the same cooler we had for several generations, this tells us nothing about the card.
Might as well leak that Evga is going to make some of the new Nvidia cards.... like yeah, ofcourse they are...how is that news?

Well just as the rest of my old system. That monitor will be replaced as i get money for it and besides that i have my pc connected to a 4K tv i game on as well. So yeah i can use more GPU horsepower. GTX 1080 TI is beginning to struggle with modern games in 4K.

1080ti has been struggling with 4k in AAA games ever since. 4000 series might bring effortless 4k steady high rate.

its an endless cycle though, when new cards have that much more power, developers will implement that much more new fancy effects which intern bring down performance.

They need to stop to release new GPU's every 2 years, 1080 Ti is still a damn powerful GPU especially for the mainstream market that is sticking with 1080p resolution.

I don't think users game on 1080p with so expensive cards.

Hmmm, which current Radeon is "slightly" less powerful than the 2080Ti and which one was slightly less powerful than the 1080Ti?

Radeon VII and Radeon RX 5700 XT are "slightly" less powerful than RTX 2080 Ti.
They are not in the same performance segment, though.

Radeon RX Vega 64 was slightly less powerful MESS than GTX 1080 Ti.

AMD must first start releasing proper graphics cards, and then we should consider your idea.

It's been a full year since RX 5700 XT's release and we hear absolutely nothing about anything new coming from AMD.
Just the normal click-bait wccftech's speculations, and AdoredTV's "leaks" from imaginary reliable sources.
