EIZO has recently announced two new office monitors designed for hot-desking and remote working thanks to the integrated USB Type-C hub. The 27-inch FlexScan EV2795 and the 24.1-inch FlexScan EV2495 feature resolutions of 2560 x 1440 and 1920 x 1200 respectively. The monitors both use an IPS panel with a typical brightness of 350 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1000:1.
The main selling point for these new monitors is the integrated USB Type-C hub which not only provides the video signal but can also power the laptop with up to 70 W via power delivery and pass through the three downstream USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port, along with the gigabit Ethernet port for stable connectivity. The inclusion of a downstream USB Type-C port with support for DisplayPort Alt Mode, Power Delivery means the monitor can be daisy-chained allowing for a dual monitor setup running off a single cable. The monitor can also be configured more traditionally via HDMI or DisplayPort and USB Type-B for the hub.
The monitors come equipped with a basic dual 1 W speaker setup and 3.5 mm audio jack. The monitors come in at 611.4 mm x (368.6 mm - 545.2 mm) x 230 mm for the 27-inch EV2795 and 531 mm x (356.2 mm - 538.4 mm) x 230 mm for the 24-inch EV2495. The monitors are each with either a black or white stand which can be removed to expose the 100 mm x 100 mm VESA mounting hardware. The monitors both come with a 5-year warranty and are expected to release in October / November, pricing was not announced.
