MSI today released the Optix G241V, a 23.8-inch gaming monitor targeted at the e-sports segment. This monitor is a value variant of the Optix G241 the company announced in May, with a lower refresh rate on offer. Featuring an IPS panel with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, the G241V offers 75 Hz refresh rate, 4 ms (GTG) response time, and support for AMD FreeSync technology. You get much of MSI's proprietary display tech, including "Night Vision," a dark area brightener, game presets (display settings specific to game genres); and likes of flicker reduction and low blue-light. Other vital panel specs include 250 cd/m² maximum brightness, 100000000:1 DCR, 178°/178° viewing angles, anti-glare surface treatment, and 81.2% / 102.4% coverage of the DCI-P3 and sRGB palettes. The company didn't reveal pricing.

MSI is like Nvidia, both attempt to cover up most of the market... Like, why tf even bother with rehashing the same panels when you already have em? G241 was my go to alternative for 24G2, as well as, XG2405, since they all use Panda. But, I will never understand why these "gaming" monitor brands keep shifting forward and back with their quality releases, like, at one point they innovate good stuff then suddenly drop to oversatured panel, because reasons? Be like LG or Samsung ffs, have smaller roster, but better...
