AOC, a worldwide leader in monitor display technology, today releases a striking new 34-inch QHD curved frameless gaming monitor, the AOC CU34G2X. The AOC CU34G2X is part of AOC's new G2 series and is available on Amazon for $449.99 starting August 11, 2020.

Closer to the Action
Gamers will relish a pro-grade experience through this 1500R curved design allowing users to take full advantage of peripheral vision, and offering deeper immersion without distortion. Its VA panel along with 3440x1440 resolution puts users in the middle of the action.

Smooth and Speedy
Better for competitive gaming, the new AOC CU34G2X features a 1 ms response time to allow speed without the smear and creating a better overall visual quality while gaming. Quick moving action and dramatic transitions are rendered smoothly, leaving ghosting effects a thing of the past. Response times are one of the most imperative specifications for gamers and this monitor has them covered. The AOC CU34G2X is fully equipped with FreeSync Premium and a 144Hz refresh rate, twice the refresh rate of some gaming monitors.

Ergonomics
The AOC CU34G2X is designed with ergonomics in mind. Its height-adjustable stand with tilt, swivel and VESA mounting capabilities aid healthy posture and promote comfort for marathon gaming sessions.

Looks Matter
The AOC CU34G2X boasts a narrow bezel and sleek frameless design. Its thin bezel provides minimal distraction and pairs excellently with a multiple monitor set-up.

Re-Spawned Warranty
The AOC CU34G2X is covered by AOC's latest Re-Spawned Warranty. It covers three years of general warranty, including a one-time accidental warranty.

Industry-Leading Warranty up to 4-Years
All premium AGON monitors are now covered by the AOC Re-Spawned Warranty for four years from purchase date. AOC Gaming G-Series monitors are covered for three years from purchase date. The coverage is retroactive to January 1, 2019.

Zero Dead Pixel Guarantee
If even one pixel on your AGON or AOC Gaming monitor is dead or "bright," AOC will send you a new monitor.

Advance Replacement
AOC will send your replacement monitor right away - without waiting to receive your old monitor.

One-time Accidental Damage Coverage
This warranty covers all accidental damage and one incident is covered for up to one year.

Good value but its still VA panel garbage, the very type of display tech least suited to the audience it targets, gaming.

Come to think of it, have AOC ever released an IPS display?

I recommend this size. it's a game changer.

idk, I dont like the issues that it brings with older games not supporting the aspect ratio.

If I were going to go 21:9 it would only be for a 38in 3840x1600 panel, I really don't like the 1440 vertical resolution,TBH, It just feels too constricted for everything else you use a monitor for apart from gaming.

I feel the use of "frameless" doesn't sound right in this case. The frame is small, yes. Frameless, it is not for sure.

This model has actually been selling in China for a few months now.
My friend got one for around $330 shipped on sale, can't really argue with that price. At least it is price accordingly.
I take this over all the "IPS-like" rubbish around this price point any day.
Yes a proper LG IPS panel is much better but those costed almost 3x as much on launch.

Apparently it is on sale for $289 in TaoBao or JD in China , which makes it the value king across the whole lineup of 34 ultrawides in that market.

What? Both CU34G2X and CU34G2 are in sale in Europe since January, is this some refreshed version?

It's not even small by 2020 standards. Five years ago, maybe...

I'm, yet to meet a gamer that "relishes" that 1500R experience...
At least on an ultrawide it makes a bit more sense than on the Samsung G7.

1500R users enjoy gamma correctness down to 82cm distance from the display. 1000R brings color matching down to 58cm. You can notice the visual field gain from near positioning.

G7 is actually very fast as a VA display. It gets 8.8 on gaming.

I'm aware that the quality of the panel in the G7 is awesome, I've seen it. For me, it's the curve that's killing it, as I work in ui/ux.
There's a bunch of new non-curved IPS screens coming in the next few months, I'll probably end up with one of those.

Last time I tried an AOC display I found it did not support 1080I. Interlace was not known to the device.
That was surprising to me, I'd thought that kind of thing was standard supported these days.
It's always the one thing you take for granted that is missing, same with smartphones and smart TV's and such, you come across something that you can't understand isn't part of the standard package, support for Exfat on USB sticks for instance, or NTFS on android, all that kind of things you don't think about until you need it for some reason and then discover it's not there.
Or how about some Samsung phones that have OTG issues and don't deliver power on their USB or don't have OTG at all. So weird to see that.

AOC is great. Don't discount it, just look for thr premium models. I can safely state it has less fussy va than Samsung. Superb performance. I can provide the model, some review I saw on prad.de just floored the response times.
