Intel to Launch X38 on September 9

Although the initial plan was to introduce the new high-end X38 chipset at the end of September, Intel's new silicon chip is up to the task even earlier, and a new release date has actually been announced. AMD will launch Barcelona on September 10 and Intel is simply going to get the upper hand and launch the X38 on September 9. Motherboards powered by the X38 are expected to hit the stores early next month.

There is no 128 bit Windows at all. In fact, there is no 128 software or hardware. Not in the x86 world anyway. And I haven't heard of any other 128 bit architecture.

SLI was a mistake made at the last computex, its still not supported on the x38 boards apparently.

not that the chipset is marvelous, though I like the ungodly amounts of pcie lanes, crossfire, and other features, except pure DDR3 only...

Pardon my noob question, I've never dealt with Crossfire or SLI before. "Pure 16x + 16x", what was it before, and is using two ATI cards going to become ultra effective all of a sudden as opposed to before whatever it was?
