Hi Seasonic Team.
I have no doubt regarding positive intentions, but in this community they are members which they also have advanced understanding of product specifications.
We would expect crystal clear incoming data regarding actual electric properties even of a simple in design item as is your product which comes with a length of wires and connectors.
NVIDIA supplied their sort in length cable with 12P connector, which this is going to be used with full length wires them coming from the PSU it self.
Not all PSU (non modular) come with identical length of PCI-E 6+2 wires and connectors and wires resistance this will vary.

From the other hand I would expect one modular harness as is your product, this to be escorted with test report this be a proof that this is electrically loss free product at full load.
Fill free to illustrate of how I did similar testing at my humble laboratory to your engineers, at 8P CPU connector.
At my Blog I do not give away actual test results from the taken electrical measurements, I am just motivating people to use best practices by the use of electrical measurements and qualifying equipment.

The second method as test that it can be used for a product QC verification this is Resistivity benchmark.
Resistance of its wire among with the pins attached it should be known, so us (people performing product support and repairs) to be able to identify when a 12P cable has healthy all pairs of wires in that harness.

While I do not plan getting any RTX 3080, I am willing to perform electrical measurements of precision at the PSU and 12P cable that Seasonic considers as ultimate choice for gamers .

Wow... now I'm confused. Do I believe Seasonic, a premium brand manufacturer of consumer and industrial power supplies with 40 years of extensive experience, or " Kiriakost" , anonymous internet nobody on the techpowerup forums?

I'd strongly advise to wait it out a little bit until 3070 hits and news arrives of what the x60 looks like. Unless you're dead set on 3080 perf and up. I think its likely that we'll get more royal VRAM endowed versions later down the line, and since you're modding games...

But a 3080 with 20GB vram will cost more as well.

By the way, I saw this today:

Thats why you don't early adopt :)

If you're gunning for 1440p, I'd stick to an x70 right now, hopefully some 16GB version of it. That'd be very future proof for that res. The card will hold its value for ages, because the base perf level, and RT capability make it jack of all trades. An 8GB might be a tad low for 2080ti levels too if you look beyond 3-4 years. We've got that on a 1080 and 2070 already. This is +40-50% perf atleast. That's quite a lot even going forward.

You have to consider that 2080ti-ish perf is already rivalling or easily surpassing console oomph, even with their fabled optimizations. So you'll want similar VRAM capacities, the mainstream is definitely moving in that direction very soon. Elephant in the room is RTX IO. Nvidia needs a technology to gain parity with the consoles' new storage options. They know where this is going.

The nobody is the founder and owner of ittsb.eu and there is one page named as : About us , in case of further lookup of my whereabouts.
Additionally the nobody has a workshop this worth 80000 Euros.

But thanks for your offered opportunity, so I to deliver a proper introduction to Seasonic.
From the other hand I do not think that they need such a help, I consider them smarter from the average Joe.

I mean for one, EVGA isn't requiring the cable to use on any of their cards. Only Nvidia Founder's Editions will use that connector and they're including an adapter with their own cards. EVGA and every other AIB are using 8pin traditional PCIe connectors. Not really sure where you're going with the Apple thing.

This is interesting news if this proven to be so.
But if the buyers of Nvidia Founder's Editions they do not care getting certified 12P cables? Then neither I do care about it.
In the coming days over ten brands all PSU makers they will demonstrate their on 12P harness for their own modular PSU.

If any one ever ask which 12P modular cable this is the best? I will reply the sorter one in length.
This is the first mistake of Seasonic , 75 centimeter of length this is too much.
The actual distance of PSU to VGA 12P power connector regarding cable length this is no more than 35 centimeter.

Possibly it is my mistake about seeking certifications in products which are not going to serve critical applications.

Guessing the X series are little out of date...
I was about to ask about these. I have one of the X series, but am not sure if it comes under the eligible PSUs.
Guess not...
