Yeah, I have to say at this point I would much prefer an earlier announcement with a waiting period where I can plan a build rather than this interminable teasing and announcements of announcements ... though at this point it does sound like they're waiting for the three announced RTX cards to arrive and be reviewed so that they can adjust pricing and marketing accordingly.

I dont understand. The Rx6000 series has more simularities with the Vega II rather then Nvidia's design. And second; chances are big that they simple order their heatsink(s) at the same vendor that's qualified for XXX amount of "TDP". They slap a shroud on and it's done.

If you want to have your own custom heatsink then pick a AIB that offers a different one. I usually throw off the heatsink and head for a waterblock. Temps are much better and less noise.

Seeing the quite high consumption of 3080 I think there's no chance of that - the red boys will almost certainly feel that cranking their "Biiiig Navi" to the limit and beyond is justified... :rolleyes:

Well I don't mind this design. But they really needed to reveal these cards sooner because I am not waiting till October for the top end segment cards to see if they really are competitive with 3080/3090 since alot of people are going to be buying up those cards way before these are even revealed. But we shall see and I hope they are.

This is one of the closest GPU launch we had in recent years. I'm not sure what is with people so eager to buy new GPUs on launch day and can't wait one more month.

I mean it is but I have been waiting 4 years for a new GPU in general. But thats my system as I generally skip a generation and buy a new top end. Not to mention its time to rebuild my cooling system so I have been anxious to do that.

yeah, I don't like RTX 3k FE either. the 12 pin placement is a bit weird, and all those grill design will be collecting dust. And I'm not a fan of one of the fan placement facing up..

I'm more into classic design, card facing down. RTX 2K FE and Radeon VII reference are the best looking card ever imo.
What excites me is not the reference card since it won't be available in my country, but Sapphire's custom Nitro card. My RX 480 nitro still looks so damn good in 2020. Solid card, loving it.
