Sapphire today teased its first custom-design Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics card, under its coveted NITRO brand. The RX 6800 XT NITRO+ is shown featuring a large cooling solution with a trio of fans of different sizes, and featuring partially webbed impellers. The fan in the middle is smaller than the fans at its sides. From the looks of it, the cooler is thicker than 2 slots, and could very well be the company's top air-cooled custom RX 6800 XT offering. Apparently AMD's Radeon board partners aren't under any restriction to reveal their custom-design cards, given that ASUS already formally launched its custom-design RX 6800-series products.

I hope it has exhaust out the IO port area for part of the heat dissipation. I really dislike the reference 3 fan design just ejecting all heat into the case.

Sapphire wakes up into a new reality, where Asus TUF exists, doesn't suck, and in fact leads the price to performance AIB cooler category.
I hope Sapphire will do justice this time

You can't really do 3 fan design with I/O exhaust which requires horizontal fins.

Well you could wait for more AIB designs - see if anyone implements it. But for 6800XT probably all will go for 3 fan design as it is best cooling-cost solution.

I just want a nice 2 slot card like the Dual Evo, Pulse or MSI Gaming series.

You can't really do 3 fan design with I/O exhaust which requires horizontal fins.
You're confusing blower style fans with axial fanned cards which also can have vents on the rear I/O.

"The RX 6800 XT NITRO+ is shown featuring a large cooling solution with a trio of fans of different sizes, and featuring partially webbed impellers. The fan in the middle is smaller than the fans at its sides."
The centre fan also spins in the opposite direction to the two outer fans.

I hope it has exhaust out the IO port area for part of the heat dissipation. I really dislike the reference 3 fan design just ejecting all heat into the case.

I feel that depends on the fan design. From the cards I owned, I generally don't find the vents at the back particularly useful. While hot air do escape from the rear, I feel most of the heat actually gets ventilated out by the rear case fan instead.

I hope they increase their warranty period to at least 3 years. Industry wise, I think they are the only one that still offers a meager 2 years warranty.

Yeah Sapphire having only 2 years of warranty is not a buying point.

I don't think i do. There are no 3 fans design with I/O venting. Plenty with 2 fans indeed.

On a bright side last nitro 5700xt had pin to pad fans that were easily replaceable. That's an easy fix for a common point of failure for gpus.

I like the Sapphire AMD cards but I think, this time I will go reference and get a water block. If I should go for the AIB air, I'd definitely would pick Sapphire.

Quite honestly, what do people do(sarcastic) to their gpus to warrant longer warrantie? I still have a few agp cards that still works, a few early pcie cards as well, one being the x800 gto2 from sapphire.

It's the luck of the draw. Some PC parts might run for almost a decade changing hands but some might die just under a year. With mid-range PC parts (CPU, GPU) reaching almost 500 USD why wouldn't you want a longer warranty of peace of mind for these significantly priced components.

Not saying I wouldn't but honestly, If you have a 2 year warranty on such part(midrange) does it really matter...more than likely after 2years you might be changing said part. Maybe I'm being a bit naive but I totally understand where you're coming from.

I'd love for Sapphire to offer a Nitro+ 6900 XT for sale!

The RX 6900 XT is AMD exclusive for now maybe in the future but no one other then AMD knows.

But I follow custom RX 6900 XT card would be nice.

Sapphire is the OEM manufacturer of all AMD cards. When AMD will say so (and probably they will) partners will have boards ready - Sapphire for sure.
