Fire Breaks Out in MSI's Bao'an Shenzhen Factory

A major fire accident occurred on the afternoon of November 5, 2020, at an MSI factory located in the Bao'an district of Shenzhen, China, which is about a 30-minute drive from the HKSAR border. MSI reports that nobody was injured in the accident, and that the production line was "not affected," although a video emerged on Reddit showing a large plume of smoke emerging from the factory. The company initiated industry-standard fire emergency response, and called in the Fire Department. The company reports that production has resumed in the factory. It's unknown what MSI manufactures in Bao'an, but given that notebooks and pre-built desktops are assembled in the Kunshan district of Shanghai, it's likely that the Bao'an factory assembles graphics cards and motherboards.

It's not like anything is worthwhile besides a few rehashed monitors from LG/Samsung under MSI label or GPUs or mobos. Everything else besides those pretty much sucks in MSI product catalog.

I take it most of the people that lol'd at this can't see it from a moral perspective, there are people that work in that factory regardless of whether MSI's business practices are shady or ethical.

The CEO fell down a factory that doesn't even look too tall to go for a suicide, and the reasoning behind the story was covered by the police. What makes you think he isn't possibly murdered?

A fire accident occurred in MSI Baoan factory in Shenzhen on November 5th afternoon. MSI activated its emergency measures and notified the fire department to deal with it immediately. No injuries were caused and the production line was not damaged. In the future, MSI will continue to strengthen the education and training of personnel. At present, all units are operating normally. Right? All those rural parents leaving their teenage kids to fend for themselves, while moving to the cities to look for gigs in these factories to try to save up for their kids education. I hope those kids stay away from this hobby forever.
