True All-Rounder
The SKILLER SGS40 has been made for everyday use at work as well as for private use at home, and, due to its generous dimensions, the chair should be able to provide an experience of comfort for almost any kind of user. The SKILLER SGS40 has an extra-large seat base with a sitting area of 59.5 x 53 centimeters as well as a backrest height of 86 centimeters and a load capacity of up to 150 kilograms. The chair is thus suitable for many kinds of user and can unproblematically accommodate a body height of even up to two meters.

Ideal for Gaming and Work
The flexible 4D adjustable armrests can be easily adjusted horizontally and vertically to any arm length and can also be adjusted to the required horizontal angle. The extra-large seat base and the lumbar support is combined with a backrest which can be adjusted at an angle from 90° to 160°, making it possible to sit comfortably as well as inviting the user to relax.

Robust Manufacturing

If you ignore the wings designed to keep your body in the car seat under high cornering G-forces, the actual back and seat part of the chair are straight slabs. Sure, there's some padding but these are the ergonomic disasters everyone expects them to be.

What they are is cheap-to-make MDF+foam+faux-leather crap attached to a regular tilting office-chair castor-wheel base. If you can find it for under €100 it's as good as any other unadjustable, basic office chair. At three times that price, it's squarely in a price range it doesn't belong - that of high-end, extremely comfortable ergonomic chairs with long warranties and actual health benefits. If you want to compare features and quality, something like this for under €100 is similarly unadjustable but even that has better ergonomics and marginally better quality than these generic gaming chair rebrands.

Rather than just criticise these lousy chairs, how about some genuinely better suggestions:

At €300 there's an entire, rich, competitive market full of certified and approved heavy-duty all-day task chairs and desk chairs that will be comfortable and keep you cool. I use something like this and I found it on clearance for £240 (so €265) which was the thing that convinced me over a Herman Miller Aeron refurb at £350.

• One-piece alloy base so no creaking.
• Hefty cast alloy frame so the whole chair is extremely solid and doesn't flex where you don't want it to.
• Adjustable hydraulic-damped seat tilt with locked, fully open, or any level of counter-balancing in between (cannot stress how awesome that is!)
• Seat depth forward/back rail adjustment
• Armrest height, angle, depth, and width adjustment
• Ajustable lumbar depth
• Adjustable lumbar and backrest+headrest height
• Adjustable headrest angle
• 5 year warranty.

Or, you can be a sucker and buy a $50 pleather office chair with a gaming logo on it for six times that price.

Totally agree.....

I've got a couple of Herman Miller chairs. Once you've tried some good quality ergonomic options like Herman Miller you can't use garbage like these sharkoon offerings,..

Nah, that's Amazon being a horrible flea-market full of scalping asshats for you. I'm practically boycotting Amazon these days because it's increasingly dubious that anything you buy is actually what it claims to be, or that it's anything to do with Amazon (other than them taking a cut of the transaction). Brand new Aerons direct from Herman Miller start at well under a grand and that's list price for a made-to-order configuration that nobody pays. Retailers will get you one with more bells and whistles (headrest, lumbar and armrests) for the list price of the basic Aeron if you shop from a proper office fitout retailer.

Good refurbs where they've had a gas-lift recharge and full fabric replacement with new start at around £300 over here, but you can buy good condition used for less. My GF sold a dozen on ebay when they moved offices in July - average sale price was £170 and they were 4 years old in decent, clean, working condition. The only reason I didn't snag one for free was that I actually prefer my current chair over the Aeron that I used to have at work.

yeah, i do my best not buy from there too, i got my last item from else were ( blue Yeti ). About time people woke up and stop supporting Amazon but it's not going happen as a small company cannot compete and no one wants to pay a little extra.

I’m thinking of buying two more Herman Miller chairs but then I have a source for such items and can get a good deal.

eBay is full of @$$hats that would buy something like this for ~$700 from legit sources and then turn around and sell for ~$2300. So no, $700 isn’t too much.

Fortunately I get a considerably better deal then that on the chairs and I’m not a parasitical scalper, so I keep what I buy.
