GIGABYTE backed up its late September launch of the RTX 3080-based VISION OC graphics card targeted at creators, with one based on the GeForce RTX 3090 (model: GV-N3090VISION OC-24GD), a GPU that offers greater dividends to creators thanks to its 24 GB video memory. GIGABYTE's VISION brand of graphics cards and motherboards are targeted at creators, and the RTX 3090 VISION OC, when paired with NVIDIA's GeForce Studio drivers, provides a formidable solution halfway between the gaming and professional-visualization market segments.

The GIGABYTE RTX 3090 VISION OC comes with the same board design as the RTX 3080 VISION OC, but with the addition of the NVLink interface for explicit multi-GPU. The card comes with a mild factory-OC which sees the GPU boost up to 1755 MHz (vs. 1695 MHz reference), while the memory is left untouched at 19.5 Gbps (GDDR6X-effective), for 940 GB/s of memory bandwidth. Display interfaces include three DisplayPort 1.4a and two HDMI 2.1 connectors. The card draws power from two 8-pin PCIe power connectors. It uses a triple-slot, triple-fan cooling solution with the VISION design scheme. The company didn't reveal pricing.

We see a lot of announcements for RTX 3090/ 3080, but the products are still largely unavailable.

Its not Nvidias fault though. Haven't you heard, they stated clearly that its not their fault.
It's NOT a supply issue! It's clearly the customers' fault for buying their product!
Damn you customers, how can you do this to us!

I'm almost sorry for repeating myself, but this never gets old ;)

I really hope AMD hast a shitload of GPUs ready for launch day ;)

This white design is great. Gigabyte's unique white "Vision" design on mobos and graphics cards is absolutely elegant.

This GPU would look great in my silver themed rig but...yeah, way too effin' rich for my blood, not to mention completely beyond my means. It's pretty though!

I always find it strange that these thousand dollars GPUs receive so many models, is it even worth it for them ?

Its not Nvidias fault though. Haven't you heard, they stated clearly that its not their fault.

You have to admit that it is brilliant. It creates a false image that their products are so good all the stock is gone not that there aren't really any available.

I'm not disagreeing with you because aesthetics are very much a subjective thing, but I can't get over the nonsensical chunk taken out of the card which also means that one of the fans has to be smaller.

What was wrong with making a more rectangular card with three identical fans? :)

Wait, so Gigabyte is going to give us a good round of GPUs this gen? Did they wake up again, finally?

This looks good.

In a way, I cannot fault Jensen's claim that demand greatly outstrip supply. BUT Nvidia cannot get away from their responsibility for the shortage because,
1. GA102 was never meant to be a high volume part, but reserved for the halo product. It is a big and complex chip, so naturally the yields are not going to be high to meet the high demand at the 699 USD price point. Make no mistake that lowering prices is certainly good for consumers, but first they need to make sure there is sufficient supply. Otherwise we end up in this situation where people are paying scalpers steep premiums because of the severe shortage.

2. Cheaping out and going for Samsung fab - Not just did they go for a fab that has proven less ideal when it comes to efficiency, they even went for the 10nm fab to further cut cost.

Anyway, I like the motherboards from the Vision series because of the white and clean looks. But on this GPU, I think it looks quite odd. Also, the Vision series tend to cost more, which I don't see anything that stands out that should command a premium.

It's for the SLI. The performance exceeds expectations. Looks great in my Lian Li O11 XL.

What difference does it make though, really? SLI (and Crossfire) are basically dead at this point.

It's for the SLI.
Ahhhh, the penny drops - and it makes sense on this 3090, function over form is acceptable to me, even if it looks odd.

Reusing that cooler on the 3080 which doesn't have SLI/NVLINK support is super dumb though, it's a compromise to cooling and aesthetics for no reason other than cost-savings. Cost-savings on a card that has a £770 MSRP, ffs!
