GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY Co. Ltd, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards, and hardware solutions, announced today the latest BIOS released on the website for the AMD X470 and B450 motherboards to ensure the most comprehensive compatibility and reliability with AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors on their motherboards.

GIGABYTE has been released the BIOS for enhancing performance of AMD 500 series motherboards as soon as AMD announced the Ryzen 5000 series processors. Meanwhile, GIGABYTE announced to release updated BIOS for non-AMD 500 series motherboards users in near future so they can enjoy the AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors at their full potential with all the new functions and capabilities the latest CPUs bring.

For X470 and B450 motherboards, GIGABYTE's engineers had an early verification on AMD latest BIOS AGESA code back in October this year. The comprehensive testing proves that GIGABYTE AMD X470 and B450 motherboards can perfectly support AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors. GIGABYTE uploaded the BIOS optimized for Zen3-core CPUs before the launch of Ryzen 5000 series processors. Users of AMD X470 and B450 motherboards can enjoy the benefits from optimized compatibility and stability between new processors and motherboards just in time with the latest F60 BIOS versions for compatible chipsets.

The latest BIOS of GIGABYTE AMD X470 and B450 motherboards have been uploaded to the website. Users can now download and update their motherboards' BIOS by their familiar methods, such as @BIOS or Q-Flash.

Wasn't it supposed to break CPU compatibility with Zen1? I'm currently using that bios with 2700X.
That I don't know.
The notes only say:
  1. Enhance CPU compatibility

My Asus ROG Strix X470-F got a new BIOS with AGRSA V2 PI 1.1.8.0 and it works with my 3700x and I have seen a few posts from users with a 2700x saying it works for them too.
And the notes for mine say this:
2020/12/04 14.52 MBytes
ROG STRIX X470-F GAMING BIOS 5809
1. New CPU support
2. Offer a Re-size BAR Support option to enhance GPU performance.
3. Remove AMD 7th Gen A-series/ Athlon X4 Processors support

I checked the CPU support list and Yes it has Zen3 support with F60c. It's weird because I definitely checked the CPU list when I saw the new bios in the beginning of November and it wasn't there. Maybe they updated the list later.
