ASUS launched the Republic of Gamers (ROG) Strix LC Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card. This is essentially the same card as the ROG Strix LC RX 6800 XT the company launched its custom-design RX 6800-series lineup with, but featuring AMD's mighty RX 6900 XT, and a beefed up power delivery, which uses three 8-pin PCIe power inputs, instead of two on the RX 6800 XT-based card. The card uses a factory-fitted hybrid all-in-one liquid closed loop cooling solution, which uses a liquid-cooling cold-plate to cool the GPU, while some of the heat from the memory and VRM is cooled by a set of heatsinks ventilated by a lateral blower. Find out more about this cooler design in our review of the ROG Strix LC RX 6800 XT. As of this writing, ASUS hasn't confirmed its factory-overclocked speeds, release date, or pricing.

Was wonder when this would show up.
I just don't like that hole in the back plate. just me though.
I would also prefer a copper Radiator, instead of Aluminum.

Compelling for a bit of an OC but if the past few days are any indication the 3080 is both a more reasonable and attractive option. RT and DLSS are indispensable and I suspect that AMDs supersampling solution will be as compromised as its RT one (shaders needed for path traversal)

Copper radiator only increases the pricing for minimal benefits. This is pretty much a "factory warranty" based card that provides watercooling. Neath setup; but skimp the RGB.

Good for people who want watercooling but don't want to build custom loop.
Let's see if Gigabyte are going to bring their waterforce card for 6800XT/6900XT.
Those usually have only waterblock on them for custom loops.

No it doesn't
when I don't have additives to water to lessen the heat transfer of water. Copper absolutely Destroys cheap garbage dime a doze aluminum radiators.

For however many thousands of dollars this will cost I would have expected a full block on it with no additional fans required. Crazy how stingy they are even at these insane price points

"""Unveiled""", yet they didn't even change a single design element. Could have made the card silver, or add some metal trim. BUT NO, UNVEILED!!! Nice one ASUS, exactly what I expect for 1k $+ products.

Unfortunately actual product is nowhere near as clean as the product pictures would like you to believe :(

"Indispensable" to whom? DLSS support is currently non-existent, almost same could be said about RT. At least your username is fitting

I'll just refer you to Cyberpunk as to why AMD's current offerings are far too short

So *checks notes* you can name one game, which is a total glitch fest at the moment? Cool cool cool

Meh. Depends on the game. 7 New Games tested at ComputerBase show the 6900XT = 3090 @ 4k (with the 6900XT winning 5/7) and the 6800XT > 3080 @ 4k (with the 6800XT wining 5/7).

If you add CyberPunk you get 5/8 6900XT advantage (and the overall 4k crown going back to the 3090 probably) and the same for the 6800XT advantage (with the 3080 equalling again, probably).

You mean the game where they flat out didn't include an RT option for AMD because they rushed it out? That has nothing to do with AMD's hardware and everything to do with CDPR cutting corners. That game is unfinished in more ways that matter than missing RT on AMD cards. Enjoy those ray traced reflections while characters glitch into each other at 40FPS and break any immersion that those slightly more dynamic lights afforded.

Benchmark Scores I once clocked a Celeron-300A to 564MHz on an Abit BE6 and it scored over 9000.
This is going to be $250-300 more than the reference 6900XT and even if you ignore scalping and availability, that's utter stupidity.

At the $1250 price point it's going to be 15% faster than a reference card, at most - and that is already a terrible deal given that it really struggles to differentiate itself from the 3080, and once you enable DXR we're looking at more like a $500 3070. Oh, did you want NVENC, CUDA, DLSS, or RTX Voice? Sorry.

Don't get me wrong, the 6900XT is a good card but it's worth $700 at most, and that's only if you aren't interested in the Nvidia features.

when you say you wanna move to liquid cooling but you can't move on from air cooling
and lately the cost of RGB effect getting closer to hardware price
