Genesis Announces Rhod 250 Gaming Keyboard

Genesis Rhod 250 is a practical and durable gaming keyboard. The manufacturer included laser engraved symbols, resistance to splashes, as well as 19-key antighosting. All of this is available for a shockingly low price. The black and red design of the Rhod 250 is based on membranes with high durability. Its antighosting mechanism efficiently handles combinations of up to 19 keys pressed, enabling playing in duos on the same keyboard. The keys have laser engraved symbols, so that they do not vanish after long-term, intensive use.

The Genesis Rhod 250 allows for the swapping of arrows and W, A, S, D keys. The device also includes multimedia control keys, and some of the keys are enriched with symbols of video game equipment. The whole set is resistant to splashes, which enhances the practical value of the device. There are also standard features such as Windows block key or anti-slip, foldable feet.



The Genesis Rhod 250 keys have an activation point of 2.5 mm with a 55 g activation force. The device connects with a computer via USB cable, providing 8 ms reaction time. The new Genesis device will be available at the stores in the coming days. The suggested retail price for Genesis Rhod 250 is 24,90€ / 26,90$.

Great console keyboard perhaps? 8ms is just fine for that purpose, even a single frame takes longer.

WTF? It's a generic office keyboard with racing stripe?
Hell, there are options in the same price segment with 500 to 1000Hz polling rates. I won't be surprised if this piece of outright shit suffers from lose domes.
BTW, this brand is from Poland, and that same board currently costs <$13 over there(~45PLN). If it comes to Polish brands, I'd have more trust in Modecom with their myriad of rebranded Chinese devices. At least they started doing proper QA before putting garbage on store shelves (which saves them lots of time and money on potential RMA floods afterwards).

Mechanical boards only made a comeback in recent years, and you can still get a decent "membranical" gaming board that'll get the job done, but that's definitely not one of those keyboards.

They absolutely do. Personally I dislike mechanical keyboards and think the chunky Dell keyboards are the best in the world, tied with the scissor keyboard on the HP 2510p. It's down to preference really.

membrane boards offer the non-gaming user a sort of softness to "protect their precious fingertips" as well as being relatively quiet while us gamers tend to pound keys a bit harder, hence the need to mechanical switches. So, all I see here is a piece of junk with a new paint job.
