Huntkey Unleashes Two New Models of PC Power Supply Units

Huntkey, a leading provider of power solutions, unleashes two new models of PC power supply units - the GS700 PRIME and GS800 PRIME. They belong to the same series, but they are designed with different power outputs. The GS700 PRIME's rated power is 600 W and peak power is 700 W; the GS800 PRIME is rated 700 W, with peak power at 800 W. Both of them are 80 Plus Bronze certified, which means they are more energy efficient compared to other PSUs. Equipped with Active Power Factor Correction (APFC), they are capable of supplying more stable and reliable power with lower ripple and noise.





Stable & Reliable Power: Output precision of +5V/+3.3V is well controlled under 3% and even under 1% at typical load, which is far lower than the Industrial Standard 5%, meaning more stable and reliable power will be supplied.

Strong Power Delivery: Output of +12V reaches up to 55 A at the maximum. The stronger power +12V can supply, the better CPU/graphic card will perform.

Low Noise: The 12 cm thermally sensitive fan intelligently controls its rotating speed to lower the sound and heat generation. The LLC topology structure can eliminate electronic noises.

I always find it hilarious how companies are apparently compelled to start press releases in that way. Is it some kind of oath you have to take upon graduating from marketing school? "I hereby pledge to, regardless of the veracity of this claim, always introduce my employer as 'a leading X of Y products/solutions" in press releases, under pain of death."?

Someone should really have edited that to be "OCZ Technology Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: OCZ), which used to be a leading provider of high-performance solid state drives (SSDs) for computing devices and systems..."

They are not no name in that they have been around for three decades and are decent in manufacturing size. The reason you don't hear about them is they tend to specialize in cheap sub par units.

That's not quite what no-name means - history or longevity doesn't affect that designation, it's literally a term designating a lack of name recognition. While it does imply being small and unimportant, it would also apply to a lot of non-public-facing businesses. But it definitely applies here.

Just a quick note that HuntKey PSUs have been used by Lenovo for years, and in my experience they seem reliable in these OEM type PCs.

Lenovo is known for laptops not PCs.

Its as @Valantar says, name recognition matters to consumers in a different way than it matters to a manufacturer. As far as I am concerned, and to put it bluntly, their PSUs might be ok for OEM distribution but they're crap to me at this point in time. The failure rate of off-brand hardware is too high to put any faith in such a company or its products. If these PSU's turn out to be flawless and I mean less than 0.5% RMA numbers, than they are on the path to quality recognition.

So kind of like FSP, though with even less name recognition. And, judging by these units, lower quality too - FPS has made some good PSUs throughout the years. Though if Lenovo uses them I suppose they're reliable enough.

Consumer pre-built desktops are a tiny market, so that's not all that strange. I would imagine you'd find them in any major computer retailer though. ThinkStations are huge in enterprise, but their Idea....station? something desktops are definitely present in the consumer market as well.

yea I dont shop at Office Depot as much as I do Bestbuy, and they dontdidnt have them at bestbuy here.
