Benchmark performance for NVIDIA's yet-unreleased RTX 3060 graphics card have already started doing the rounds - even if it's one of the currently less-representative benchmarks for actual GPU performance, Ashes of the Singularity. Videocardz has gone through the trouble of collating benchmark results from the same user that uploaded the results for this RTX 3060 graphics card, hence the 19% performance differential in favor of the RTX 3060 results compared to the same users' RTX 2060 and RTX 2070 results.

The RTX 3060 was tested in the 1080p Crazy benchmark preset. It then scored a total of 6600 points and 67.8 average framerate in the first test; the second test, which might've been run with increased power or clocks, achieved 6800 points and 69.8 FPS on average. The first test's score (so, prior to any eventual overclocking) puts the RTX 3060's results 19% above those of the RTX 2060 (which scored 5,650 points) and even achieving a 7% performance advantage over the RTX 2070's 6,166 points.

so in terms of performance the card is in-between the RTX2070 & RTX2070 super; now if only the card was real and people could buy it

If you look at the web, and search for the 2070 super on the same preset, both get the same result, 6600 points.

A RTX 2060 is around 10-25% faster than my 980Ti, depending on game, at 1440p.
The 2060 is around 10-15% slower than the 2070, which around 10-15% slower than the 2070S.

At best the 3060 is about 50% faster (without seeing benchmarks) than 980Ti. Eh....6 years later and probably the only GPU I might be able to find is a 3060 that's going to be around 50% faster than my 980Ti. And with pricing it'll probably be sold around $450-500 (unless by some sheer luck it can be purchased at or close to the $329 MSRP).....I only say this because I see some stories out there about the 3060 expecting to be priced upwards of 50% higher than MSRP for AIB. It'll be a cold day in hell before I spend that kind of money on a moderate performance jump over my current card.

It's looking to be I probably won't be in the PC gaming aspect of things much longer if my 980Ti decides to take a dive on me. The prices out there are outright shitty right now, not to mention it's so hard to find a new GPU even if you have the money to buy one. I guess I just keep waiting to see what happens....

Horrendously underwhelming, this is less than 50% faster compared to a 1080, an x80 class card released 2 generations ago. It used to be that x60 meant previous x80 performance and then some, I know things are slowing down but I am still disappointed.

So, the card was always expected to be about 2070S speed at best. Hardly surprising result.

I think it will get smashed by 6700 but we will know in a month.

You won't be able to buy a 6700 anyway, and if you can, your wallet will still scream rape.

Nobody care..... because the shitty miners or scalpers will buy all of them!!! There is no chance to get one. :(
MEANWHILE LOOK AT THESE:
Nvidia corpo sh1t:
Nvidia LIED TO US:

Yep, miners will still buy them, I saw a post by one of them, he doesn't give a damn that it does less Hashrates than a GTX1060, he is still going to buy all of them he can find. Can you believe this?

Funny how "gamers" suddenly jump onto "miners don't give a f about us!" conclusion, but realistically forget they don't give a crp about each other either. Even if MSRP and stock was healthy, there still would be comments "oh you own 3090? Good for you, because nobody gives a sht" around here or any forum. Ah, the irony within the enthusiast spectrum is strong.

The reason I don't like miners; is because what they mine, is expensive and slow to move, a store of value? Pffff, whatever makes you feel good, it's the same reason we ended up with FIAT to start with. There are many alternatives that do not have this problem, proof of stake, pre-mined etc. and they settle in seconds and also serve as a store of value. Simply put, miners are a blight on this planet's resources.

While you're at it, I would like you to go through my post history and find one comment from me, citing your assumption on how I as a gamer crapped on anyone's hardware? In fact, if I was a millionaire, some would receive mysterious messages and packages from time to time.

I'm dragging this to a bigger picture. Nobody really gives a sht about things influencing others, but not yourself. As much as I would want the world to be seen through rose glasses, the reality is much different whether we like it or not. But that's the internet in general, people try to defend something by sugarcoating it, but if they were given opportunity, they would exploit others without hesitation. I don't like miners either wasting resources. But I would support mining other currencies that absolutely does zero damage other than the investor itself.
