Marsback M1, A Fully Customizable RGB Mechanical Keyboard, Hits Kickstarter

Marsback is pleased to announce the launch of a Kickstarter campaign that will allow the public to meet Marsback M1. M1 is a 75% layout mechanical keyboard that is designed to allow everyone to take advantage of the super tactile experience. It is available now on Kickstarter.

With dual connectivity for Mac, Windows, and Android lovers, M1 features a CNC'd PC base with nice-looking beveled edges, the beauty of mechanical crossover with 16.8M RGB LED lights, and PBT transparent keycaps, making it stand out from the crowd. M1's custom software gives users a variety of personalization options, while the hot-swappable switches offer the greatest convenience by clicking them into place or pulling them out without ever needing to touch a soldering gun. M1 enables audio visualization that converts all the audio signals into a beautiful audio equalizer lighting effect by separating the low, middle, and high notes, offering players a fully immersive gaming experience like nothing else.



"As a gaming brand dedicated to combining high-performance hardware with aesthetic, M1 is designed to offer gamers the ultimate gaming experience. M1 is being produced by Marsback, a synonym for high-performance gaming products. With an early bird price at US$159, the project is set to launch on Kickstarter on March 2, featuring three colors (dark black/white/sakura pink) for early adopters. This sort of already exists and has existed for a while from Womier, though a few companies slap their brand on it and they're quite affordable. I bought them from Aliexpress, but you can probably buy them for a 100% price increase on Amazon from someone who thinks they're clever reselling things from aliexpress at double the price (like literally everything that has to do with watercooling on Amazon), I own a TKL (K87) version and a 66 (K66) key version as well..and yes, both are hot swappable which is a pretty nice feature on such affordable keyboards, I put kailh box navy in my TKL and Kailh box white in the 66 key. I guess the only difference is that the womier ones are not fully programmable, as in you can't make your own animations with provided software (though now that I think of it, most more affordable RGB keyboards never have software that allows you to edit the animations and just about the only customizable thing available is changing the static, per key colors....anyone know of an affordable, $125 or less, RGB keyboard available in white that comes with software that allows you to fully edit the lighting animations?),,,anyway, I suppose this one claims to be programmable, but the cheapest "package" is $159 and the only switch options are all linear which sucks, there should be a switchless options for $80....no matter what anyone claims, I'll never believe anyone actually enjoys typing on red/linear switches or that they actually make a difference in "performance" with your typical gamer. I do like that it offers a choice of white pudding keycaps, but I'd just put my entirely blank, translucent keys on it anyway (the entire keycap is basically made of just the translucent material from a pudding keycap....really lets the lighting "shine".)

...no matter what anyone claims, I'll never believe anyone actually enjoys typing on red/linear switches

Either I'm lying or I am a unicorn, I love typing on reds, I prefer the floaty feeling over brown bumpiness and don't get me started on clicky blues. But to each his own of course.

Got out of the complete RGB craze and went for a Vortex Race 3 Red, not low profile switches like I preferred before but the keyboard as a whole is low enough and types great.
