3.1 gen1 is a little dated by now. And USB C would have been nice, if only as an adapter.
I wonder if it's possible, if going USB C, to also make the whole drive smaller/narrower. Too often USB A sticks block adjacent ports.

I wouldn't call it industrial with all those big logos, but yes, it's among the better looking drives out there.

the naming and that logo would make me NOT want to use this. super annoying and... pulling out a usb drive with rage in all caps is not exactly stylish lol

Maybe, but it's a rage that's both supersonic and pro!
Product names all look like they're put together at random, I don't even pay attention to them anymore.

It's an even surface, so those with a label printer can stick one on there with their WTG info or asset tag. Lexar used to be big with American corporates for fast UFDs until they went Chinese. Now everyone wants a slice of that pie.

Off-topic but I could resist. Supersonic, electronic.

Back to topic. Sad to see it doesnt have type-c port. Casual look which is good, i think they could have gone with metal casing as well...

Or just buy a dirt cheap USB 3 SATA caddy and put a dirt cheap SATA SSD in it (or an old one out of your PC) and blitz the performance of these USB sticks at less cost.

The only drawback of course is size, and the end user must make the decision on where to compromise.

Size is everything I'm afraid.
With the ease of sharing online, I often opt to leave home even the drive that fits in my pocket.

Otherwise, yes, an external enclosure can be a solution for some users. You can even stick a (laptop) HDD in there if you need more capacity than SSD can offer at a reasonable price.
