EK, the leading computer cooling solutions provider, is launching its new Quantum Line products for the DDC and D5 pumps, the EK-Quantum Convection D5 and EK-Quantum Convection DDC. These D5 covers and DDC heatsinks are available in three distinct finishes - Silver, Black, and Nickel - to provide users with different aesthetic options.
The market-leading D5 pumps get a CNC-machined aluminium cover, the EK-Quantum Convection D5, which is compatible with EK-Quantum Reflection distribution plates that feature a D5 pump and the D5-based EK-Quantum Kinetic FLT pump-reservoir combos. It is available in three finishes - anodized Silver, Black, and in a Nickel-plated variant. It can be fitted over genuine D5 pumps. It is designed to improve the aesthetics of pumps. A rectangular design with a convenient hole for routing the cable and hiding it as much as possible allows for a cleaner look of the pump.
It is compatible with the following products:
EK-Quantum Convection DDC
The SFF champion, the DDC pump, gets a heatsink that also acts as an aesthetic cover. The EK-Quantum Convection DDC is a CNC machined aluminium heatsink that vastly improves the cooling performance of the motor and electronics, thus prolonging the lifespan of the water pump. Optimal heat transfer is ensured by the use of an enclosed thermal pad. Due to its metallic construction and finned design, this heatsink amplifies the effect of airflow. Placing the water pump in front of any fan or radiator will thus dramatically improve the cooling performance. As an added benefit, it also upgrades the looks of the pump with a stylish metal finish - Silver, Black, or Nickel. It is compatible with EK-Quantum Kinetic FLT DDC series combo units, EK-Quantum Kinetic TBE DDC series tubular pump-reservoir combo units, and future EK-Quantum Inertia DDC series products.
Availability and Pricing
The EK-Quantum Convection D5 and DDC are made and assembled in Slovenia, Europe, and are available for pre-order through the EK Webshop or EK Partner Reseller Network. The covers/heatsinks are expected to ship out in early June 2021. In the table below you can see the manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP).
