Razer today released the DeathAdder V2 Special Edition (SE) gaming mouse. A variant of the DeathAdder V2, the new SE variant comes with an improved SpeedFlex cable that has green highlights resembling a snake print, along its Nylon sleeve braiding. The mouse's body also appears to have a green tinge that's a callback to Razer's favorite color. Under the hood, you get the same 20,000 dpi Focus+ optical sensor, with 650 ips tracking speed, Linear Optical main switches, and DoubleShot PBT keycaps. Razer is pricing the DeathAdder V2 Special Edition at $69.99.

The Deathadder has the shape that fits my hand perfectly. However, it had the double clicking sickness and just bought a G502 Hero. That infinite scroll wheel on the G502 works wonders but it doesnt quite fit my hand nice. Anyways, I experienced the same double clicking with the G502 recently. Luckily, I already have several Omron switches to do a fix.

I dont think there's any easy way to fix these optical switches when they fail. Just another e-waste because of proprietary parts with minimal gains.

I'll consider Razer ONLY when they match the same on-board memory storage functionality as Logitech with a OMM like software.

I am pretty sure most of their new mice have onboard storage, some are limited though and can only map dpi/profiles and simple clicks but no macros for example.

Nope, they can store pretty much everything, but it's disabled by software. Try OpenRazer under Linux and then everything is saved in the mouse memory.
