"Oh hey I made this person leave lets do it when ever someone does something we don't like"
I could see that. Social DDOSing, if you will, heh.

Scumbag behavior to be sure but no one was denying that part.

WOW, then you report the shit and if nothing gets done you have these lame as social media places that getting shit banned left and right.

Again many hostile people playing RDR if fact most people don't trust others, if they come out with crap you have a few things you can do, like record them and reporting them and as i said before muting them and all so blocking them.

keep complaining about it though to the company and to other places and maybe some one will do some thing about it.

Personally i just ignore\mute\block them as in the end of the day they want that attention.

Keep giving them what they want they going to do it more.

THE VERGE: PLAYING RED DEAD ONLINE AS A BLACK CHARACTER MEANS ENDURING RACIST GARBAGE

Red Dead Redemption 2 fosters a particularly hostile environment for black characters. When Red Dead Online launched, I saw tweets remarking that black players couldn’t do anything without being called the n-word by players controlling white characters, or they were being hunted down for the crime of having dark skin. While some players found this phenomenon funny or unremarkable, others find the racism jarring: are these play styles betraying real-world beliefs?

For some veteran black gunslingers, abhorrent racial behavior toward them is just another day in the Wild West. They’re used to it; they’ve learned how to deal with it or tune it out.

When you make something normal or in such case acceptable as to people have to learn to deal with it due to a franchises being so big (almost a billion dollars just by itself) expectations for the company aren't that high. Let alone the platform it creates to foster such mindsets.

Verge talks out of it's ass yet another media company that tries to make shit look worse than it is.

HAHA, i have a level 54x and 30x chars in RDO ( both dark skinned ) and only twice totally over 3600 hours. Again if some ones playing a role ( not saying it be right too ), your claiming that it rubs off and makes people just what they role playing ?, going by that i am thinking of going out and killing people and robbing them too.

In fact as there are so many asshole there a lot a good people too, then you have the people between who just keep to them self.

Funny thought, i been called cracker more often and it cracks me up. I don't see it or claim it to be racist and even it was no harm done. Again record the shit you might be able to do some thing about it, chances are people already gave youtube \ twitter \ facebook there private details so wtf.

I could tell you the worse people in the game but most would call it racist or some other crap, i know one guy who will not even play with people from their country because how bad they are.

Dam gotta go got a erge to tie up a random and throw them under a train.

I didn't claim that. Ask me if you not sure.

I said its fosters the mindset of people being mean to one another. Which you just pointed out. You chose to be accepting of it. That's your right. When you ask others to be accepting of it because you are that's were we differ.

You also asserted that a company would be compelled to do something RS has faced various controversies over the years and its gotten through them virtually unscathed

Dam, i just don't get butt hurt on some one thinks about you, if that was the case i would not be posting here( mr i am going report you due to asking for more info on a problem which claimed to invade his privacy ), except it NO, i just don't feed the trolls as at the end if they don't have a reaction there is no action, works with hackers for the most part when you tell them what they are doing is meaningless and death in the game does nothing.

Kids should not be playing the game, that's a parent issue and there for should be taken court. Again requires you to at least try to do some thing about it, again only twice. I just don't allow them get a rise out of me as that's why they do it.

I see a lot more ass holes, in fact at least one every other day. no chance of counting them even on my hands a feet haha.

I've found that people who claim others should "Toughen up", or "Get over it", or ask "What's the big deal", they tend to be bullies and assholes. The thing is, it's not on them to decide if someone else is offended by, or hurt by, something that was said or done. What's on them is to be a decent person. If you decide that you become a better person by letting people hit you, yell at you, scream racist things at you, then you should find a group of people that enjoy doing that to others. There's certainly enough assholes like that around. But if someone said that they don't grow as a person when someone treats them like that, it's not your responsibility to decide to prove them wrong. It's your responsibility to grow up and stop acting like an ass. If you can't do that, go somewhere and be alone.

Diversity in gaming is a way of recognizing that across the world, people in a position of power have done everything that they could, repeatedly, to ensure that their power isn't diluted. So, by acknowledging that none of those people in power are any better than anyone else, and they certainly don't have the right to belittle others or try to keep them "in their place", some gaming companies have taken the steps to try to show that we're all people. No one is "better than" anyone else simply because of the color of their skin, the people that they love, or the country in which they grew up. Some were more privileged than others. Some had the opportunity to make huge improvements in their lives. And some got a break and were in the right place with the right idea and the willingness to work hard for something they wanted.
And some were hanged for looking at a pretty lady. Or sitting at a drugstore counter. Or sitting on a bus. Diversity and inclusion is the rest of us trying to say "That was wrong. That is wrong. And we don't want it to happen again."

I agree with all you said except this first sentence.
But I suppose people's perspectives vary depending on their age and the era they grew up in.
I find people that think others are bullies or assholes tend to be bleeding hearts or playing the victim card, or even have an agenda even when no wrong is done.

I'm glad you had an existence that didn't expose you to bullies. No one should have to deal with them. I didn't have that existence.

I've found that people who say "Get over it" tend to be bullies.

Bullies you just have to stand up to them, i been though the shit though boarding school and after. How ever the internet different. School kids of my day knew it very well and learned how to fight it, now you have kids who don't know what to do about it and even a raised voice scares the living shit out of them. Standing up to a bully is typically all you need to do but again the internet is different you have to ignore them and stop giving them what they seek they tend to get bored and even make ones around them realize it isn't right.

I don't know what to say other than that sounds like some real victim blaming.

I knew a kid who stood up to a bully. All I can say is it did not end well for him. Certainly did not improve things for him. It did get him sent home though.

I think we just gotta disagree here man.

Agree. It's not the recipient's fault the bully is an Asshole, and it's not on him to "correct" the bully. It's the bully's place to grow up, realize they are a horrible person, and try to behave civilized.

You disagree because of one person ?, sure everyone's not the same, and one thing for sure the male sex is getting weaker as time goes.

Well you gotta do more than stand up, wow slap on the wrist and sent home. Been whipped with the cain for standing up my self and it did pay off as the teachers took more notice from there on and that's just one of the times. Kid never bothered me again and that time was with some 20+ kids watching.

Poor kid got beat up by the school for standing up for him self.

Either way done with this.

No I disagree with it on core principle. I just have one first hand example.

Either way done with this.
Same. Our politics are just sort of out of alignment. Good thing this is a tech site and not a political forum most days... heh. I know we respect each other there.

I've found that people who say "Get over it" tend to be bullies.
most likely or just don't understand the full impact of it on the individual
Bullies you just have to stand up to them, i been though the shit though boarding school and after. How ever the internet different.
The latter sentence invalidates the former sentence.
School kids of my day knew it very well and learned how to fight it, now you have kids who don't know what to do about it and even a raised voice scares the living shit out of them.
It's not your (or mine, we are probably within ten years of one another) day anymore
Standing up to a bully is typically all you need to do but again the internet is different you have to ignore them and stop giving them what they seek
The latter part of your statement invalidates the former part. I rarely got teased in grammar school but the few classmates who did try quickly got me in their face and backed off quickly. The few who wanted to continue bullying received something else in their face. That said, I was hardly a saint to my fellow class mates as well. Those days are mostly over for kids, bullying no longer starts and stops at school. It's 24/7 365 because of mobile phones & the internet and it's no longer the big kid or that one group of girls. Anyone can be a bully do it and it's there for everyone to see and chime in.
Next you be calling for all internet to be governed by some government or some thing and make it like China.
Big difference between anti bullying and freedom to post facts and question your government.
I don't know what to say other than that sounds like some real victim blaming.
Agreed. It's up to the school or platform to control the trolling & bullying. We have seen too many times what happens when it's up to the kid to put an end to bullying.

You disagree because of one person ?, sure everyone's not the same, and one thing for sure the male sex is getting weaker as time goes.

Well you gotta do more than stand up, wow slap on the wrist and sent home. Kid never bothered me again and that time was with some 20+ kids watching.

1- You question R-T-B about a single experience and then contradict it with your one single experience
2- Maybe the male sex is finally waking up to hurtful hypermasculinity behavior.
