New Spectre Vulnerability Version Beats All Mitigations, Performance to Badly Degrade After the Fix

A new development has arisen. Is seems Intel and AMD have investigated and both state that this new problem really isn't much of one.

So this might just be the nothing-sauce it seemed to be from the white-paper.

Bleh the way I see it is if it takes to much physical work to implement this then no hacker is going to bother with it and it'll be just the province of the likes of NSA KGB GRU CIA where people are actually paid to go out and implement it in some boogeyman spy type shit

I will be disabling the mitigation, these exploits I would only be concerned about enabling mitigations if you relying on virtualisation on a physical machine shared with unknown users.

There is far better/effective ways to mitigate your risk to malware.

The only way to properly patch spectre will never be done as its already been tried by an OS developer with a whopping 70% performance hit.
