Pictures of a made-by-AMD (MBA) Radeon RX 6600 XT OEM graphics card hit the web. This particular card has all the signs of an MBA card, including the AMD logo near the PCIe fingers, and barcode stickers of the font used by PC Partner, the OEM that makes MBA cards. This isn't necessarily the reference card whose renders are floating on the web, but one that AMD supplies to pre-built desktop manufacturers.

The compact card appears roughly 18-20 cm in length, is dual-slot, and uses a single 8-pin PCIe power input. Its cooling solution uses an aluminium mono-block heatsink that's ventilated by a pair of 80 mm fans. The person with access to this sample put out performance numbers from the internal benchmark of a game popular in China, called Ludashi, as well as how it compares to other graphics cards in this test. The results are interesting. The RX 6600 XT apparently beats or matches the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, which means it should have a comfortable lead over the RTX 3060, at least in this test. AMD is expected to launch the RX 6600 XT in the retail channel, on August 11, 2021.

It actually beat the 3070ti if you look at the numbers 414621 6600xt vs 411997 3070ti

this benchmark is obviously not representative of the average case. the 3060Ti is already close to the 6700XT and AMD would not cannibalize themselves like that so soon.

those fingers are hopefully not on the PCI express connector.
Some of those lines had in the past nearly 0 safety ... directly into the asic ...
I still cringe if somebody handles cards like this. :slap:

That, and the neon green razer headphones in the backdrop.

I mean neon green? Super cringe.

Yeah, I'm sure that 66xt will certainly beat 3060. But what currently appears more important is the MSRP. Do NOT cost more than that of 3060. Better be even lower to be more competitive or rather to attract consumers.
I have been waiting for so long, but I won't pay for what's not worth the price anyway...
Oh btw Ludashi's benchmark is rather AMD-friendly. So just take it for fun lol

I don't think the RX 6600 XT will be priced much less than the RTX 3060, but how it performs at ray tracing and rasterization versus it will certainly play into that. I think there is a case that could be made that 10% more rasterization or 10% more ray tracing peformance is debatable as to which is more beneficial to a individual on a case by case basis for certain. Really with the bulk of games today being rasterization it's arguably better having a higher % performance for that than for ray tracing. I still feel terrain detail has a bigger visual impact and better geometry leads to more realistic lighting and models because in real life there are a lot more beveled contoured corners as opposed to sharp edges than in games and more of those in game combined with lighting raster-faked or for-really-ray-caked-$$$ makes a big difference in both instances.

Ive heard rumors of $399

Th RT performance will probably be slower than a 3060.

Benchmark Scores I once clocked a Celeron-300A to 564MHz on an Abit BE6 and it scored over 9000.
I recognise that exact cooler from one of the partner 5500XT models. Gigabyte maybe?

Looks like an XFX card and would not surprise me, since the reference card is not supposed to be released.

OK just did napkin Maths and I suppose this time 6600 XT is really gonna boost up to 2.9 GHz. No kidding. Maybe 3 GHz is also possible. Or it goes the other way round that it has no overclocking room at all...

Who cares! A card that should retail for $199 but you won't be able to buy for less than $600. I'm so sick of the Video card market at the moment! Sure I want upgrade my PC, but it doesn't pay to look.

I feel for the people who still have a Haswell. I understand that nonsense. At least the second-half-of-the-year, don't look as depressing. And it better be good, if I have to pay $500 or similar!
