No. The plume of effect from transmitting or recieving is less than a foot. You are in the most danger when making a phone call, this is why your ears get hot.

I agree with the last line, but 'vanilla 4G' ranges from 700MHz to 2600MHz (give or take, depending on the region). Care to elaborate further?

Well yeah, your head is right in the plume. But it'd still take a LONG time to have a meaningful impact. Also; no one really uses cellphones as phones much anymore.
