The holes exist to make the mice lighter. Weight is a very important factor on a gaming mouse and I´m glad companies and people finally realized it after 10 years of modding mice. It makes you aim better and have better control, there is no debate. Altho you would aim better with a heavier mouse if the shape is better for you. Shape above everything, of course. But with so many lightweight mice available right now, it would be hard not to find a good shape.

2 things I had previously always had overlooked and did not care... one is a proper chair for long hours of sitting down and othet is a proper mice once again for long hours of usage. Now for me those two are more important to me. Learned it the hard way.

Having sweaty hands would only effect the surface of the mouse. If someone is sweating to the point of their hands dripping into the mouse they must be seriously lacking air conditioning....

Aesthetics? No. i think a majority of people would say a mouse without holes looks better than one with. Holes do make it lighter by a good amount, unless you are a company like razer who managed to get about the same weight without holes on their Viper.

Its not only razer, there are plenty that are lightweight without holes, how about the Logitech g pro wireless?
I really do not believe those holes account for more than 5g when i see mouse with same or even better build quality and even wireless that are lighter without them.
Same materials (i didn't include the finalmouse starlight for a reason), same sensor, same buttons (switches).

Its just marketing.

Well originally, they accounted for 20-30g in weight savings to have holes until other companies figured it out with different materials, mouse structure, moldings, etc. to do about the same without holes.
