Valve has recently been testing NVIDIA DLSS support for their Proton Windows compatibility layer for Linux with an experimental version available in 6.3-7 and now fully supported with 6.3-8. This latest addition to Proton will allow NVIDIA Linux gamers to take full advantage of Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) in supported games. Proton has seen significant development attention recently with this release also bringing initial support for the BattlEye anti-cheat software enabling games such as PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and DayZ to run correctly. Epic Games have also previously announced that they are working with Valve to add support for their Easy AntiCheat software. This latest release also includes support for 24 new titles and various miscellaneous bug fixes.

Wait, so DLSS applied directly to Proton? Does that mean every single game Proton uses on Linux would get DLSS or am I have dyslexia again?

No, you read it correctly. If the game of your choice supports DLSS in Windows, then you should be able to utilize it on those same games within Linux going forward. This is another step forward with Proton and Linux.

If you're asking whether any game running through Proton now has DLSS support, the answer is no. Just the same games that support it on Windows, but now on Linux.

No point in Linux gaming until you have cross platform multiplayer. Nobody is going to game on Linux if you cannot play multiplayer games with Windows users.

the game itself works OK but servers like Code4Gaming have battle eye enabled servers, I think once the battle eye issues get taken care of the devs at bohemia might actually take a little notice twords getting arma 3 polished enough to run smoothly on linux. fingers corssed. check out the link below, its a very handy resource of information.

Heh, well for one, these are windows games running under linux... so no cross platform issues. And for 2, you don't need steam to have this. HansKristian makes vkd3d-proton, and you can go to his site and manually install it into your wine prefix after installing dxvk as well of course. Love how valve takes credit....

You know, there are gamers, more then you may think., that NEVER play multiplayer. Crazy, right? And you can, in fact, play with windows users, older games like battlefront, multiplatform games like minecraft, and and ported games like chivalry medieval warfare and splitgate all work fine.

What doesnt work are games with intrusive (and useless) anticheat systems like EAC and battleeye. So unless you have to have the newest bing bing wahoo shooter, you're fine.

josephhunn please stop. Neither do you. Also TheinsanegemerN, lots of us linux users play online games. Modern games. And full Windows games. Linux has come a long way. So has wine which is
what allows us to run modern windows apps and games. Unless you both spend several years learning linux, just stop talking, and learn more, and maybe listen a bit.....

1) Multiplayer ain't everything.
2) Multiplayer works(technically). The only thing that doesn't work is DRM and Anti-cheat libraries that prevent you from using MP on Linux in some games.
3) Valve and Epic already set the precedent with their anti-cheat ports, which means if Steam Deck takes off - others will follow. For some it'll be an easy transition, given that most popular DRMs already have console ports along PC (yes, it's different, but similar at the same time). Even infamous Denuvo got its full PS5 port recently, and irdeto keeps expanding their anti-cheat and DRM "solutions" to other platforms as well.
