AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 22.2.1 Released

AMD on Thursday released the latest version of Radeon Software Adrenalin drivers. Version 22.2.1 beta comes with optimization for "Dying Light 2: Stay Human," and "Lost Ark." It also adds support for the Vulkan 1.3 graphics API, and feature-support for Vulkan Roadmap 2022. A bug which caused "Fortnite" players on Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards to observe flashing or colored lights in DirectX 12 mode, has been fixed. Grab the drivers from the link below.

Fixed Issues

• On some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon RX 6700 XT Graphics, some users may observe flashing colored lights around their character when playing Fortnite using DirectX 12.

Known Issues

• While playing Cyberpunk 2077 on some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon RX 570 Graphics, some users may observe an issue where indoor areas appear darker than expected.
• Stuttering or lower than expected FPS values may be experienced by some users while playing God of War on some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon RX 6900 XT Graphics.
• Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations. Any users who may be experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround.
• Radeon performance metrics and logging features may intermittently report extremely high and incorrect memory clock values.

That don't say much good about it, the only good things about Outrider was during single player and the gunplay, after you finished got the levels it's BS diablo 3 BS.

Made me not want GoW if that's all people can say it's as good as.

Also Outrider still has that stuttering problem to this day.
The game randomly stutters and especially worse during fights.
Recently just finished the game via Game Pass with a friend.

I had a sound issue with it but no stutters. Played Outlanders and the hardest teir always pushing the hardest possible, once i finished and realized that you did not level and only could do by repeating lame ass spawn in's i lost interest instantly.

How ever be nice to play though it again with some one but other builds did not have my interest all that much.

I was waiting for this fix and I knew it was more on the AMD driver side than on the GOW Dev's to fix.

Will be installing the driver now and testing GOW later tonight. I know its still listed as a known issue at least they are aware of it.

More like too many edge cases, that need different solutions.

I never experienced anything other than occasional stuttering in Outriders. As an example in a mission that takes 15 minutes complete (when combat starts) you may experience 20 seconds of stuttering across the mission. Having said that I was too busy flaming enemies enjoying the kinetic experience that Outriders is.

I’m a beta tester and even I’ve given up asking waiting for it to be reliable again…FS+ES was the perfect combination…But….

For me this reads as FS only vs ES. I don't think FS users need this. ES is kinda outdated.

I assure you I’ve had lengthy discussions with staff that the 2 combined is the ideal combination. I also was under the belief that if I have FS I don’t need ES but when it was actually working it was “the way”

Interesting, well if I'm not mistaken, the current situation with ES is "mostly it should work". I don't have a Radeon atm to test it myself.

Yeah problem is that is so hit and miss depending on the game. Might work great on one the next one you're getting black screens or CTDs etc Why its still a known issue and has been for an eternity now is beyond me. If they have no intention of fixing it they should just remove it...Currently it's pretty much "use at your own risk"

Backlight strobing is better, and can't be activated at the same time FS or Gsync is on. Either stay in range or get a monitor with backlight strobing, they are so fast, it makes FS pretty much not necessary. Then again I see pro gamers not using it, not using anything, maybe because of a lack of technical knowledge or because it's just better? Who knows. I like it

Yeah there will always be a divide between using backlight strobing/vsFS/Gsync. Because of my involvement I of course use FS and not actually tried my monitors solution but your point is valid and perhaps I should compare them myself.
Personally FS was a “must have” because tearing literally makes me nauseous but I’ll definitely make a point to try my monitors feature for “science” for me FS is just a “always on” thing I never have to think about the LFRC works perfectly when there is any FPS drops.

Edit: @Kanan i ran Heaven maxed out at my native resolution. The bench scores were nearly identical with FS taking a small lead but it definitely won because without LFRC the lows were very obvious using maximum MBR setting on the monitor.
