Akasa, a leading provider of cooling and thermal solutions for the global electronics industry, has released new variants of their classic CPU coolers, updated for the Alder Lake processors (LGA 1700 mounting system). The three coolers are designed for unlocked desktop CPUs (AK-CC6606BP01), F-Series desktop CPUs (AK-CC6603EP01), and T-Series desktop CPUs (AK-CC6601EP01). These coolers will work at the TDP set by Intel, and will follow the official thermal and mechanical design guide, improving heat dissipation from the Alder Lake processors.

The 12th generation of Intel Core processors will be using the LGA1700 mounting system, launching with a host of technological advances. Intel's new hybrid core design allows for efficient data processing, with the introduction of Performance and Efficiency cores (P-cores and E-cores respectively). P-cores are dedicated to the faster processing tasks, whilst E-cores have been built to work through background processes, therefore increasing the multitasking capabilities of the CPU. Due to the new sizes of these cores, the shape of the CPU's integrated heatspreader (IHS) has changed to accommodate this, with its rectangular dimensions of 37.5 mm x 45 mm.

Akasa's coolers have been updated to suit these new measurements, with an increased core diameter of 43.6 mm, allowing more contact with the CPU and therefore more heat to conduct through to the heatsink fins. The standard coolers come with an optimised push pin length, where the length of the pin has increased to provide the best lateral pressure possible. The high-quality copper core improves heat dissipation and produces incredibly cool results in combination with the high-performance CPU fans attached to the coolers.

AK-CC6606BP01 is rated for 125 W TDP CPUs and is an essential component for high performance workstation desktop systems. With a 63.2 mm height, and 90 mm low-noise fan, this CPU cooler is a great option for office workstations that need more cooling power. AKCC6603EP01is a 77 W TDP rated cooler with a slightly shorter height, and larger 95 mm fan, which increases the airflow through the heatsink. This cooler is also made especially for workstation desktop systems, get the best for your PC, and upgrade your cooling potential! AK-CC6601EP01 is the perfect companion to a small form factor build, with the 26.9 mm height making it a powerful cooler in a tiny package. A 35 W TDP rating and a 75 mm fan can handle the heat and is essential for a thin case and motherboard combination!

Pricing and Availability
  • The AK-CC6606BP01 / AK-CC6603EP01 / AK-CC6601EP01 coolers start at €24.95, €14.95, and €13.95 respectively (prices may vary by reseller)
  • The AK-CC6606BP01 / AK-CC6603EP01 / AK-CC6601EP01 coolers are available to order throughout the UK and Europe.

The left one looks exactly like the older Intel stock ones. The middle one looks like a cheap knockoff of the Wraith Stealth. The right one looks just like your typical cheapest Chinese cooler.

Why though? Who's gonna replace BOX coolers with sth almost the same, and should there behigher-end CPUs w/o stock coolers, they will need better cooling than that lol.

Even some aftermarket, better performing coolers cost the same or even cheaper than these.

Well nothing new to the market. I have been using the far right one on my z97 based setup. Not quite a good performing cooler yet saves space in itx based system. That was the primary reason i bought this one. However not recommended at all if you are looking for bring down temps.

Who actually buys this when you can buy the stock cooler (at lower price)?
That's exactly what I thought. "Akasa presents... the Intel stock cooler! But more expensive!"

Akasa is such a weird company. They make some really unique high quality prdoucts like their passively cooled NUC and small form factor cases and then low-end generic stuff like this which I assume is just rebranding of low-end stuff normally destined OEMs.
