We have new fans on the AIO. They are totally different. I would say, you can compare them with the best fans on the market, also with Noctua ;-) So, from the technical side, they have nothing to do with the fans you got with the Eiswolf 2 edition for the 2080TI.

Do you do exchange programs for the older fans?

No. The Eiswolf 2 is the first product with the new fans. The upcoming Eisbaer Pro CPU AIO will be the next product. The remaining AIOs will remain as they are for now. And why should we run a fan replacement programme? If my car manufacturer offers new cool rims for my car, I don't get an exchange programme either.

Got Eiswolf 2 installed on my 2x3090 rig. There are obvious improvements if you compare it with the stock cooling. But this product has some major flaws still:
1) while backplate has special cuts for NV-link support, it is literally impossible to install NV-link bridge because of pump hose connectors. I’ve even tried to remove the cover from NV link bridge to win few mm but still no luck, 1mm still needed. Very poor quality control, no one tested that. Support just answered that it is not supported after I’ve sent photos to them.
2) backplate itself - it is passive, very mediocre cooling results for VRAM, I had to put extra 92mm fans on top of it to cool it below 110 degrees. Without fans memory was overheating and throttling is happening, especially on the bottom card.
3) stock thermopads - not quite good, I’ve replaced them with GP-Extreme and got better results.
4) I still think fans are quite noisy, I have 120mm Noctua installed in the case and they runs quieter then Eiswolf 2 stock fans

1. You can see on the website, that we dont support NV-link with this product.
2. Mining?
3. To be honest... you will find always better thermalpads on the market. We have to choose some with a good price point. We sell better thermal pads, but they are more expensive.
4. Sorry, thats something i can`t really belive because we had external testers (some well known reviewer) test these fans against various Noctua fans so that we can offer the best possible fan that can replace our older Lux Pro fans. And the results clearly showed that we are on par with the Noctua.

Junk, money grab. Better off pointing 2 140mm fans at them.

Wait, someone still uses SLI o_O

A proper GPU block and 360mm copper rad, plus a decent-if-unexceptional pump, tubing, fittings and fluid, pre-filled and leak tested for $249? Hardly seems like a money grab to me - an EK GPU block and a similar radiator from most brands is likely to cost you the same or more.

1. Well, either I’ve missed it or it was just recently added there. It took several email even for support person to figure it out.
2. Deep learning
4. I will test it one day by running them alongside on the same radiator, don’t have noise measurement equipment to make it properly for now.

I agree price is good, and it is probably great for 3080, but not for 3090 with this crappy VRAM on the back side.

I wouldnt call it junk, just because more expensive alternatives offer better performance.

Without active backplate cooling, it's not a good match for the 3090*... but thats a non issue for every other GPU.

*Mining and rendering etc, gaming would be fine

@Checker
1. Our Support team was not able to give you an answere? Can you explain the situation a bit please?
2. Oh, ok. I know that some people was able to fix this with high performance thermal pads with more than 10 W/mk. Other people are goint to put passiv cooler on the backplate or a water cooled ram block or something like that. We will offer later this year active backplate cooler.
4. With the volume, it may also be a subjective problem. Everyone perceives certain sound frequencies differently. Perhaps the sound frequency of the fans is simply "more unpleasant" or "felt louder" for you than with the Noctua. I would be able to understand that.

1. I’ve contacted support with the message that I struggle to install the bridge and said that I can send photos that will confirm the issue, next day they have asked to send photos, I’ve replied, 6 hours later support replied that is not possible.
2. Would be great to see it, one thing, I’ve put 92x14mm fans between the cards to help with cooling, because due to triangle cover on the top card you can’t squeeze anything thicker inside. It means you active backplate should be quite thin, or you should use space behind the card like stock coolers.

Hi everyone! New here and found this thread via Google. Can anyone tell me how close the ASRock Phantom Gaming 6800xt is to the reference design? The Alphacool AIO would solve all my cooling issues, if it'll work.

Thanks!!
