ASRock Announces Full Stack Support for Ryzen 7 5800X3D and New 5000/4000 Series Processors

Asrock make some good boards, just a shame they had some bad apples, both my ryzen and main rig are Asrock, they usually have best i/o options and good bios.

This new bios which I gave them feedback on helps a lot with IOMMU grouping on 5000G series. The AGESA updates do more than just add new CPU support.

Not sure what you're talking about, maybe you don't know yourself. Asrock's AM4 motherboard stack is on par with every other brand's AM4 stack in terms of VRM capability. Every brand has their outlying garbage board though, here's a few of the garbage boards from some of the brands:
Asrock: B450M HDV R4.0, B550M-HDV
Asus: Prime B450M-A, Prime B450M-K, Prime B550M-A
MSI: B450M Pro-M2 [Max], B450M Pro-M2 V2, B450M-A Pro

Other than those boards, I'd expect every B450 board and higher(except maybe some A520's) to be capable of running the 5800X3D. Especially since it cannot be overclocked.

Your post that I replied to was you complaining about Asrock boards being bad.

Not sure if you just didn't watch this video or you've mixed up Asus with Asrock... but the two Asrock boards had better VRM thermals than the Asus & the Gigabyte boards.

Doesn't matter if better than other brands, still bad enough on 2700X if you have not noticed. Nevermind what would it be like on 5800X3D lmao. Which was what I originally stated.

Their B550 Steel Legend Handles the 5800 which is a 3.4-4.6 Chip, which the board is considered middle range, I wouldnt trust MSI or Gigabyte or Asus TUF/lower end ROGS to handle anything.

Not had any problems with ASRock mobo's over the last 12+ years, how ever MSI and GIGA has been a total different experience. I find ASRock do much better lower end boards.

The question is, is VRM all that matters? The review industry has been over focusing on VRMs lately.

No idea about AMD builds, but with Intel builds a board with poor VRM's will throttle down after your cpu kicks into turbo boost mode.

i own an asrock (b450 fatality) and honestly, it's only been good, running a 5600x that is overclocked at 4.9Ghz never had issues with overclock or stability.

at the time it was simply one of the best mini ATX available on the market and at much lower price than any other b450 of that size.

The fact that we have bios updates on a b450 so much time after release is a good thing to be honest. some of the other manufacturer dont release bios all that often.

I remember AsRock long back was considered a crap board or very low quality. That was long time ago. I can't say the same thing about nowadays boards. AsRock does make very good quality boards and I have experienced it and these were really good for what they offered, quality and price.
