I find them slower than MSI to release new versions of BIOS for AMD motherboards. They have to be pushed in to releasing BIOS for a motherboard that is only two years old. ASrock are reluctant to keep AMD’s promsed that all AM4 montherboards will support Zen3 Ryzen cpus - that's my experience and impression.

I've said it before, but this trend of putting the GPU slot one slot lower is really irritating. That's 20mm of space to pull air from gone. With GPUs getting bigger than ever, that will only make your cards run hotter/louder. What are they thinking?

Anyway i personally tend to ignore such marketing stunts and focus on the feature set, support and value of the hardware i get

Since then, they have been very slow to provide updated BIOS for B350 boards. I know I can probably crossflash a similar B450 board, but I am still waiting on an official B350 BIOS for my board, before trying to buy a 5000G.

Tangentially, is doesn't seem likely that there will be a 6000G EOL upgrade for AM4. Shame, I would like a RDNA2 + Zen3 APU for this setup.

Keep an eye on their Beta BIOS section. If memory serves there were a lot of complaints about them rushing BIOS updates (early Ryzen era) so they started being more cautious and testing more thoroughly. Then people complained their updates were taking too long so now they tend to provide Betas ahead of the official releases. I like that they try to adapt to the demands/needs of their customers. They don't always get it right but they keep trying till they do. I also wouldn't worry about the BIOS versions being beta, their support staff has always been very helpful in my experience and have never given me a hard time for using Betas. I have been using ASRock (not exclusively) since the mid 2000's and not had any particular issue with them, just the usual stuff all manufacturers have trouble with on occasion.

Asrock actually been pretty good updating their bios and adding support to new CPUs, they were actually the first ones to add support for the AMD Ryzen 5000 on X370 chipset.. That's pretty good impressive to me!
