BIOSTAR, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards, and storage devices today announces the launch of the latest AMD AGESA 1.2.0.7 BIOS firmware update. BIOSTAR's latest firmware rollout targets their AM4-based 500, 400, and 300-series motherboards with the latest AMD AGESA 1.2.0.7 BIOS firmware update. The new BIOS patch comprehensively resolves all the major and minor issues of the AMD AM4 lineup, including the stuttering issue with fTPM on the AMD Ryzen platform. Furthermore, the BIOS update also adds full compatibility to the latest Ryzen 2022 releases, including the brand new Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPU. BIOSTAR's B550/A520/B450/A320 series motherboards currently get full AGESA 1.2.0.7 BIOS update, and BIOSTAR plans to further extend the BIOS support to their X570/X470/X370/B350 series motherboards soon.

At the end of March they also snuck out the 1.2.0.6b beta for X370/B350, meaning the first AM4 ITX board to market got 5 full years of support. Biostar constantly gets talked down on for offering poor support, but it looks like they're putting in a real effort here.

Asus is probably 1 of the slower 1s to put out updates.
AsRock has been on Fire for sure putting out updates before Asus, MSI and Gigabyte ever thought of doing it.

I'd like to see BioStar be a Contender in the Higher End Motherboards if they could select HQ parts and get a Supurb code team for the firmware.

We need more serious players... I miss DFI, Abit, and (sometimes) ECS.

DFI should definitely come back to the consumer market. They make solid industrial and embedded boards still, and they could definitely come out swinging with a well featured lineup of consumer options again.

ECS still makes consumer boards, they just have other brand's names on them. They're almost exclusively an OEM these days.

To be honest my experience with asrock in person was that even a beta bios was possible for me :p

My Z77 board could not boot of a m.2 pci-e ssd in an adapter.. Asrock support connected me via mail to a engineer who actually did programm the uefi "bios" and then added the driver module, made two beta custom versions for me to run of boot of two different slots...

Two days later i reported that it worked in both slots and the uefi update was finalized and uploaded public.

Yes i was the free unpaid testbed but i volunteered and they really answerd mails and worked to a solution for all of us...

Gigabyte put out 1207 for my x370 awhile ago. End of April I think.

be interesting if Tyan and supermicro put out some consumer boards. I think supermicro does but only Intel?

ECS was never a Major Player, they were like Biostar is (General) Abit and DFI got Sublimated into other makers, it is why ROG/Taichi/Dragon/Arorus Exist.

Yup they tied themselves up with intel.

I knew there was Something Good about them in the Skt AM3 days as well, 970 Extreme 4 was a very robust feature packed board.
