Sharkoon Technologies is an international supplier of high-quality, high-performance PC components and peripherals. Sharkoon has now widened its range of gaming chair products by introducing three ergonomic headrest and lumbar cushions with memory foam. Particularly with regard to long gaming sessions, the cushions have been specially developed to support a healthy sitting posture.

The two headrest cushions, the SKILLER SHC10 and the SKILLER SHC20, can be easily attached, using their adjustable strap, to the top end of a gaming chair that has a high backrest. The cushions are designed to efficiently relieve the neck, especially during longer gaming sessions. While the SHC10 has a classic shape, the U-form of the SHC20 should also make it suitable as a travel cushion, providing additional support for any head position. For the overall relief of the spine, the SKILLER SLC20 lumber cushion is designed to support the lumbar vertebrae in the lower back. The cushion can be simply placed on the gaming chair and requires no attachment.

Comfortable and Convenient
All three cushions have a soft fabric cover that can be easily opened with its zipper. The cover can then be removed and cleaned by hand. The inner material is a high-quality memory foam, which adapts exactly to the user's body shape and then returns to its original form as soon as the pressure is removed.

Availability and Price
The SKILLER SHC10, the SKILLER SHC20 and the SKILLER SLC10 are now available at the manufacturer's suggested price of 19.90 euros, 21.90 euros and 24.90 euros.

My butt cushion is custom, I sewed 2 foam wedges together and a memory foam butt pillow on top. I can't sit very long in normal chairs because I broke my tailbone and compressed my back horribly years ago, in order to sit in my "gaming" chair (a managers office chair) for long sessions I have to use a butt pillow and a normal pillow on its own isn't enough.

This is a fancy, profitable way of saying "gaming chairs are horrendous and we know it". Well done, I suppose?

Should this not be built in a 400$ chair by default?

You would think but apparently where there's a bit of profit to be made afterwards...not so much.

That's the problem with a lot of chairs. They cheap out on the foam & you're bottoming out after a few minutes. :shadedshu: Heck, it's even an health risk (thrombosis).

Would be great if the was something like a standardised upholstery ranking to make it easier to skip the crap out there.

It should - except that these racing style gaming chairs are essentially $150 chairs with massive margins. So they don't quite play in the same league.

Yeah, I got the seat cushion on my Autonomous Ergochair 2 replaced after a few months as it had lost nearly all support, and sadly the replacement isn't much better after a similar amount of time. I'm pondering whether to try to reupholster it myself or take it to a professional, as the chair is otherwise fantastic.

Absolutely. It's not a cheap chair so it's worth saving. :) Professionals got a huge selection of foams, they can do some lasting magic.

Yeah, definitely no plans on replacing it - it's barely a year old, and really good otherwise. From looking around, finding good quality furniture foam (and even figuring out what is good quality furniture foam) here in Sweden is non-trivial, so I'm definitely thinking of finding profesisonal help - though I'm a bit scared of the cost. I'm thinking I'll try pestering Autonomous to sponsor some of that fix as a partial refund though - they did send me a new seat last time around, and it's pretty clear their foam just isn't up to par.

It can't be that expensive, it's just a little piece. ;) I guess 30 min. work + material, around 100€, maybe even less.

Yeah, I'm used to living in Norway, which means any professional service is expensive as all hell. Sweden is often a lot cheaper though, definitely have to look into it.
