NZXT Launches High-performance Thermal Paste

NZXT has recently entered the thermal paste market with the introduction of their descriptively named High-performance Thermal Paste available in 3 g and 15 g variants. The paste features a thermal conductivity of 6.3 W/m-k and is advertised as non-conductive and non-curing to prevent electrical shorts and simplify installation. The listed materials include Zinc oxide, Liquid polymer, and Aluminium while the viscosity is specified as 35~220*10³ mPa.s and specific gravity as 3.5 g/cc. NZXT includes a single alcohol wipe with each tube and advises that the thermal paste has a three year shelf life. The NZXT High-performance Thermal Paste is now available to purchase for 9.99 USD (3 g) and 19.99 USD (15 g).

well, a 4g MX-4 is ~3.75$ for me and it's a 8.50 W/m-k, so, what's NZXT point for releasing that?
the MX-5 is priced similarly, a little less on the syringe content, but is a 15.60 W/m-k

6.3W/mk is "high performance". Hah. High performance, MY ASS. Even Cooler Master's own MasterGel Pro has higher thermal conductivity while being way more cheaper than this garbage-tier "high performance" paste.

Haha, you will get about as many different answers to that question as you saw on the websites you researched! Not kidding unfortunately.
I've preferred prolimatech pk3 or arctic mx5 for the last year or so. Prior to that I had good luck with thermal grizzly but also use arctic mx4 for client rigs.

My advice, just start experimenting. Thermal paste is cheap so don't limit yourself to only one. Try em all!

NZXT is really trying to milk any diy market segment it can, even low hanging fruit like thermal paste, got to wornder how much margin they get on each tube with those prices, good for them lol

I for one still have my trusty tube of mx4 and when that ends still have a noctual tube unused (came with the cooler, but i already had the mx4 open so..)

You forget mx-5 is eol once it sells out it's gone until mx-6 or mx-5 2022 comes out
W/m-k is pretty misleading seeing we're taking about a thin skin between cooler and cpu.

I think this silly expansion trend we're seeing is simply a money grab by a ton-o companies (poor leadership trying to profit off of the last two years). Look at all of the companies that have no business going into memory, ssds, power supplies, gaming chairs/keyboards/mice/ headphones, AIOs and on and on. All these sectors are already overly saturated, there can't possibly be anything left for newcomers to squeeze out. Yet more and more try everyday. It's almost embarrassing...almost.

but my choice as best price perf ratio would be the MX-4

Most of them are doing something almost equivalent to dropshipping, just slapping their name and tweaking the design a bit on high margin products (like 150$ gaming chair that cost 20$ to make, etc...).
