Today Razer announced the Ornata V3, Razer's new entry-level low-profile gaming keyboard with Razer Mecha-membrane Switches. With its new, smaller footprint and slimline keycap design, the Ornata V3 meets the needs of modern gamers looking for a full-size gaming keyboard with added value features at an accessible price point.

With a more compact, modern design, the Ornata V3 is equipped with Razer Mecha-membrane Switches combining the best of both mechanical and membrane switch technology. The switches provide a soft cushioned touch for gaming comfort, along with a crisp tactility for the most satisfying clicks. For maximum durability, the ABS keycaps of the Ornata V3 are UV-coated to improve fade and scratch resistance. The gaming keyboard is rounded off with Razer Chroma RGB with 10 lighting zones, backlit dedicated media keys and an ergonomic magnetic soft-touch wrist rest for long hours of play which is not often found in this price range.

Also announced today was the Ornata V3 X, offering the same compact yet full-size, low-profile form factor with durable UV-coated ABS keycaps and a spill-resistant design. The Ornata V3 X has silent membrane switches, Razer Chroma RGB with 1-zone lighting, and a detachable wrist rest for gaming comfort.

The Ornata V3 and V3 X are the perfect ergonomic low-profile keyboards with a wrist rest for gamers.

Available now, priced at 69.99 USD / 99.99€ MSRP for the V3, and 39.99 USD / 49.99€ MSRP for the V3X.

I've made two builds on Razer keyboards and mouse x 2 (just because mice seem weird) and they seem to be holding up pretty damn good. If they can withstand hours upon hours of Roblox sessions, I think they just might be half way decent. They also have some of the best RGB in the business, *cough cough* for the younger crowd of course.

I always love those price info .... 69,99$ or 99,99€ .....

I mean, really? Even with taxes looking at the € to $ that really doesn't make sense. Except the "they are dumb and used to paying more" tax......

Also, as a correction, it's even 59,99€ for the V3X

It's just sad that they won't offer the V3 functionality with "silent" caps. So I have to chose to have 1-zone-RGB and no media player keys or pay 40€ more and have the "tactile" caps .... *sigh* .... for so many products they offer different caps (selectable for the keyboard red/green/yellow) why not here? The caps are definitely possible for both (get the cheap one with "loud" caps or the "more expensive one" with silent ones? ) and they could even adjust the price if they feel the need to have you pay more for cap-type-x over cap-type-y ..... but that would be nice, wouldn't it? :(

I still have two Mamba2012 up and running and they survived 3 wow Raids per Week plus all "standard gaming" I did "on the side" so far which is quite impressive to be honest. I moved them from Europe to the US and back in that time, too. Still going well.

so yes, Razer doesn't do everything well and also have some shady stuff going on, but some of their premium offerings (and even some "cheap ones" which I have here) are holding up quite well. Not all, but there is no general "razer stuff is overpriced and breaks right away" thing ;)

As an ex-Wow Raider myself and would have considered myself semi-hardcore raiding 5-6 times a week and 8 hours a day average...that damn impressive. I had a Logitech keyboard that needed to be swapped out. Now I type and play on ergo keyboards, trying to preserve myself for my golden years. Heck, I play Elden Ring with a Xbox Controller and save the mouse and keyboard for those no choice games. LoL What I would love to see is more gaming ergo keyboard and mouse combos. I guess that is just to much to ask for.

Razer has a good reputation
not in my book they don't...

I've tried too many of their parts & their crapolina softwarez & had them fail/crash & burn/lock up my rigs way too many times in the past to eva trust them again....

I know streamers that swear by Razer, I, myself was never a fan, still not, but I recent did buy one of their mice just to see how the optical switches (very few choices with optical switches) perform over Logitechs crap switches that wear out the week after warranty.

I worked with one, he didnt get it for free, and only well established streamers (10k followers or more?) might have a chance at free gear, he had his complaints but it was only about the software. I think its safe to assume all that [3rd party] software is/can be crap. I have had bad experiences with Asus, iCue, even LGS and G-hub. The only software I havent had issues with is Afterburner.

Yeah, that's a different issue. As various appliances become "smart", they're not hardware anymore. But most reviews still treat them like that. Not limited to the PC world either, I got a well reviewed Electrolux air purifier, only to discover the software is so crappy, it cannot connect to the device if you have the 2.4 and 5GHz bands combined (which anyone who knows to configure a network does). It needs the 2.4GHz band on its own network.
And Razer in infamous for gating functionality behind Synapse, allegedly to be able to sync device profiles :(
