New information has been obtained by Daily Tech about AMD's upcoming RV670 GPU. As most readers know by now, the RV670 is essentially a 55 nm die-shrink of the 80 nm R600. It will have support for PCI-Express 2.0 and Shader Model 4.1. Crossfire will also be supported as detailed in their pictures.

And that is the reason why my upgrades always take place in December or January. Id have to AMD is in pole position to to be my next VGA vendor since Nvidia seems to just be interested in stretching its existing products without refinement.

I think the first SM4.1 cards may be at a disadvantage, i've seen a few upcoming cards mentioned which are supposed to be barely any faster than the current top-end, yet support sm4.1, now if the forced 4x AA is true, then these things will struggle at higher resolutions, where a SM4.0 card can still disable the AA

SM4.1 has 4xAA forced upon them?
That just sounds like an extremely crappy "feature", especially when new games come out that kick the card's ass with higher res.
Gives you less and less choice on how to run your games.

Next, you'll not have a choice between Nvidia, Intel, or ATi/AMD, you'll have a SoC. Which isn't a big disadvantage, it's kinda cool, but less upgrade possibilities.

If forced AA is true it sounds like a scam to get you buy a new v card sooner or even PC death soner.
