If it’s Samsung VA, it’s pretty good. I also don’t see any downsides with this panel. Viewing angles are normally the downside of VA, but this has good ones. Contrast is far better than IPS, colors can be comparable and mostly is. Reaction times etc are fixed for SVA panels, so it depends if it’s a SVA or not.

For this to happen, Samsung and LG mother glass need to step up the game into 4K/5K HDR era beyond 27 and 32 inches.
Plus, display chipsets with new DP 2.0 and HDMI 2.1 full speed, as new GPUs will be able to drive that bandwidth.

Yes 7900XT / 4090 will easily deal with 4K and a bit higher, even 8K will become like “playable”. This is assuming double performance.

6800XT deals with 4K 10-bit display quite well. For example, Microsoft Flight Simulator plays ok.
