Not every system has a USB Type C port also the speed of the HDD inside this will probably only be 4500~5400rpm so your not going to able to take advantage of speed of a USB Type C port anyways

This however " its compact and lightweight design comfortably fits in your hand for ultimate portability" could also be said about any and all 2.5" portable HDD's
I have both a Seagate and Western Digital and a homemade (2.5" HDD + USB3.0 case) portable HDD that are also perfectly fine in the hand size wise
