First Leaks of Upcoming Graphics Cards Model Names From Both AMD and NVIDIA Appears

Once again the Eurasian Economic Commission has been helpful by sharing the model names of multiple upcoming graphics cards from both AMD and NVIDIA, which was dug up by @harukaze5719. This time around it's AFOX, a fairly minor graphics card manufacturer based out of Hong Kong that has submitted products for trademark registration. If these are the final product names or not, it's not clear and there are some "irregularities" in the submission as well, but we'll get to that in a second. Looking at the AMD cards, all the model names are as expected, ranging from the Radeon RX 7500 to the RX 7900XT in even steps of 100, with non XT and XT models for each SKU.

On the NVIDIA side we have the RTX 4050 to the RTX 4090TI, again with even steps, but of 10 this time and TI models of all cards, which seems a bit odd on the lower-end. However, AFOX has also registered trademarks for four RTX 30x0 Super cards, suggesting that NVIDIA might refresh its lineup of Ampere cards before it launches the 4000-series. This is obviously just an indication of things that may happen and should be taken with a fair helping of salt.

Shouldn't they be on the tech trade ban list?

Also funny, folks claiming on reddit Afox is using used (mined) chips for their GPU's: Is AFOX a good gpu brand? even though I've found it really unpopular in my country

ECC's HQ is in Moscow. AFOX has been available here for a while, though I've never seen anything better than low-end crap like RX6400 from them here. Maybe they decided to fill the niche now that official imports from the bigger names have stopped.

They also offer Mining Rig Systems. Maybe that's where all the higher end cards end up?

Toddlers can predict anything with a bit of luck. Happens all the time even among adults.


I agree that this could have been lumped in with some other related news instead of a standalone feed.

I find it interesting that the 4090 Ti model is planned for launch, rather than a refresh of the 4090. Also, no 7400 (or XT) model, looks like AMD is pulling further out of the low-end market.

Ok, since this is an AIB manufacturer that does not make laptops, I assume this is a new desktop SKU. That being said, the two most likely configurations are a cut-down TU106 die to 1650-1660 specs but with RT and Tensor cores enabled, or slap the unicorn that is the 2050 Mobile on a desktop board and watch it outperform the RTX 2060 at lower resolutions, with its higher shader count but worse memory subsystem.

if 4090 Ti is not the full 144, cut down to 142 it can totally launch first when yields are good enough. 144 is the titan.

Nv don't even have to get rid of 3090's, introducing 4090 any moment at any price now.

oddly 30 and 40 series can coexist, just like 16's and 30's. using two different nodes. Supers may still be viable
