Gelid Solutions today announced the release of the new Amber Controller Unit. The Amber 8 Pro is a product of GELID Solutions's Amber product line. Featuring 366 preprogrammed RGB lighting modes, Amber 8 Pro controls up to 8 fans, 10 LED strips, or other Addressable RGB (ARGB) devices. It comes with 21-key RF Remote Control for convenient operation, PWM input for seamless PWM controls and SATA Power Connector for stable power output.

Also, the RF remote control can be used to control the speed of the PWM fans. Built-in magnets make installation as quick as a few seconds. When connected to compatible motherboards, ASUS, MSI, or ASRock, ARGB hub functionality can also be accessed via the 3 Pin ARGB Sync input. In order to provide reliable power output, SATA power connectivity is used, which delivers 85 W maximum power and supports ARGB devices with up to 120 LEDs onboard each channel to illuminate and control.

Remote Control Specs: Dimensions (mm): 86 x 40 x 7, Number of Keys: 21, Number of RGB Modes: 366 RC, Method: Radio Frequency (RF 433M), RC Range (m): 8, RGB Switching Speed Levels: 8, Static Brightness Levels: 8 Weight (g): 15.

The Amber 8 Pro conforms to both RoHS, CE and FCC and carries a 2 year warranty.

"A powerful, fully-remote RGB lighting system, Amber 8 Pro enables you to create stunning lighting effects without being tied to a motherboard's RGB software!" said Gebhard Scherrer, Sales Director of GELID Solutions Ltd.

The Amber 8 Pro has a MSRP of 22 USD or 22 Euro. For more information, visit this page.

They need to make an addressable RGB controller for the PC that can power a single 5 meter strip with at least 300 LEDs, and it should have software that allows you to control each individual LED with fine grain control....why won't they just do that? This product is lame, I don't want pre-programmed animation, I want to make my own, and I want it to be on a timeline, like that thermaltake neon maker software.....does anyone know of a generic addressable LED controller that can do that?

It sounds like you're the man with the plan. Do it up!
