I vote that any company that wants to sell technology products in the US is not allowed to use China for manufacturing, assembly, or distribution. And that all countries stop spying on people and leave each other alone.

It’s a dream, we all need to move past the politics and do what’s best for those in our country, our future generations and ourselves.

All of you are going off on a tangent about conspiracy theories and "America bad", but no one is asking why this turn of events is happening now, in particular at a moment where the US administration is barring sales of sensitive technology to China..

China has sent ultimatums to tech companies in the past (mostly software), where not meeting some condition or criteria, would result in getting booted from the market. IBM and SAP are all too aware of this.

YMTC is NOT on par with Samsung, SK Hynix or Micron. So why is no one asking about the choice?

Personally, I'd doubt the fail rate and durability of these NAND chips, but then again... they only need to last till their planned obsolescence date, right?

If you read the posts you will realize that the question wasn't ignored.

And people not mentioning it, doesn't mean they haven't done that question in their heads. Usually we have 10 thoughts/question in our heads, but we keep our posts simple and only write 1-2 of them.

For all the Apple flaws their stuff not surviving time seems like a weird complaint to me, there are people everyday using iphones, ipads, ilaptops and even inotpcs from 10 years ago and more. Maybe not in some rich places i guess, so you could have missed it. Their stuff is like cockroaches
