  • Make it to the League - Players can fulfill their NBA dreams as they set forth to greatness in a dramatic journey in MyCAREER. Forge relationships, build rep and overcome the arduous obstacles that test even the most promising ballers. Players can diversify their brand off-the-court and make their name the one to remember on the hardwood floor.

Only basketball game I've ever enjoyed playing was NBA Jam in the arcade. It wasn't the same on consoles. I'm surprised there's that many folks that like NBA video games.....maybe I just don't know the right people.

Tech news and PC gaming news go hand in hand together. You might be surprised to find out that most PC gaming sites dedicated to PC games also post tech news frequently.

I have in fact posted a fair share of game news, but not every day.

I have to agree, the overall coverage on gaming is fair, its not like every triple A game gets coverage, and we see a lot of indie and more obscure titles fly by too. I applaud you for your selection, you can't ever cover everything in gaming without full dedication.

Still don't like seeing this title but that's a personal thing, I mean this and FIFA and all those other yearly installments... duhhhh

Are there many NBA fans here by chance? Or what IS the rationale for covering this over anything else? I'm curious

I love basketball and would buy this game if games weren’t overpriced. Guess I’ll have to wait until the all star game

I don't post a lot of sports titles normally, but I figured I'd give it a try and see what the feedback was.
I guess I will post fewer sports games, as there doesn't seem to be too much interest in sports games.

This in not really a game, just another one of the yearly slot machines.

It's a milking scheme like the FIFA games. :kookoo: They sell you the game full price (here in multiple editions to confuse you & cash on you even more) & on top of that you need to buy opening packs to be even competitive in online games. And when the year is over the new game (NBA 2K24) comes out and all your content you spent your cash on becomes basically worthless.

It's even a bigger scam than free phone games.

"There are more ways than ever before to spend your VC (Virtual Currency). Upgrade your MyPLAYER, buy MyTEAM packs to build your perfect fantasy team, and so much more! DEVELOP your MyPLAYER by increasing attributes and learning new animations. CUSTOMIZE your MyPLAYER with the latest gear by visiting the 2K Store. BUILD your MyTEAM by opening packs and creating a team of current players and NBA legends!"

Let's hope the EU bans this scam fast. :wtf: All they are doing is robbing kids who do not know better & also creating gambling addictions.

I mean... it's the TRUE G.O.A.T. on the cover... MJ... enough said!!

Besides, there's the extra NEXT-GEN gaming enhancement features to experience (only for conSLOWS... but still, it'll come to PC soon enough).

ALL PC Gaming news, and its software, is TECH RELATED!

I for one appreciate the writer's attention to this.

If you don't, well, don't be "curious" anymore and how about just ignoring/skipping the article and move on. Simple, right?!

Hands down the best Basketball Games were Kareem vs Bird way back int he day. NCAA Basketball on the SNES 3D and NCAA Basketball from EA that we have not seen a version of in years. I have NBA 16 and 17 and there is no difference. I don't expect this Game to be head and shoulders better and what difference does the cover make if 90% of the sales (On PC) will be digital. As far as the noise that a Video Game should not be a News article on a site dedicated to Technology of which Video Games are a huge part kind of makes no sense. Does anyone remember Cyberpunk 2077?

All sports games are a slot machine now.

Last sports game I think I played and enjoyed was NHL 95 on the PS1.

Hell, I was just at the store and saw a Madden Football game with a picture of John Madden on it and all I could think of "isn't he dead?" and not actually of the game Football/handegg or whatever.

The very first game I ever broke my controller(?) (back then, it was called a Joystick... Ha), playing with my brothers.

Well, that says it all about you in American *physical* sports, in general, doesn't it?

I played Madden with EA Play and it was locked at 30 FPS. That made passes so easy that the Game suffered I stopped playing after about 10 minutes.
