Expected to be announced later today, Logitech's G Cloud handheld gaming device has been leaked courtesy of Amazon Canada. Although the full specs are yet to be revealed, we now know a lot more about the device. For starters, it'll have a 7-inch 1080p touch screen with 60 Hz refresh rate. The G Cloud weighs in at 463 grams and is said to offer 12 hours plus battery life. Other hardware features include dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1 and USB-C connectivity.

On the software side, it appears that the G Cloud runs custom version of Android with support for not only Google Play apps, but also NVIDIA's GeForce Now and Microsoft's Xbox Cloud Gaming streaming services. The G Cloud also supports haptics, remappable controls and it has a built in gyroscope which suggests that the entire device can be used for controlling supported games. According to Amazon Canada, the release date is the 18th of October.

More importantly is it repairable or just another consumer device destined for ewaste(best case scenario) when battery dies or screen break.

Really bad timing for a WW-NA release of Yet Another Android Gaming Handheld.
1. The import market for such devices is already super-saturated.
2. Said saturated market is already solidly lead by 1 or 2 brands.
(Unlike Valve, I can count to: )
3. The Steam Deck and X86-64 APU Handheld PCs are 'the new hotness'. That term is not used sarcastically or unenthusiastically; that popularity and 'buzz' is well-earned.
4. Desktop GPUs (and NAND-NVMe) are in free fall. PC gaming is gaining popularity, even in the economic downturn (IMO).

Logitech would be wise to dedicate a minimum of support to this, and instead focus efforts on an SD-clone. Their name-recognition in the PC gaming space could be well-used to establish themselves above the import brands this Android unit is competing with. (As well as said-competition's X86-64 Handhelds)
