If you've been keen on finding out some more details about the upcoming Z790 based motherboards for Intel's upcoming 13th gen Core processors, then we got good news for you. VideoCardz got hold of a treasure trove of board pictures from ASUS, ASRock and MSI for those interested in taking a look at what will be on offer next month from Intel's partners. There are no big surprises when it comes to the leaked board models, but there are one or two things that are worth pointing out.

The ASUS leak is limited to four boards, two Prime models, one TUF board and the ROG Maximus Z790 Hero, which is unlikely to be the top-of-the-range board. ASUS seems to have held back a bit with the Hero board compared to its AM5 equivalent, but it's a bit hard to tell from the picture. ASRock is carrying over its limited edition Carrara look for its Z790 Taichi board and ASRock will also have a Mini-ITX board with Thunderbolt 4 support. MSI will also offer a Mini-ITX board, with a black PCB and white heatsinks and a white rear I/O shield. No additional specs were provided, outside of what can be seen in the pictures. There are additional pictures after the break.

No Gigabyte leaks yet, I don't expect the Aorus boards have changed much either from Z690.

What I like most is gigabyte motherboards when they have protection shield for ram slots, Pci-e slots , power connector's, audio, internal usb and i/o front panel connector . But last year they started to go backwards in doing that even with high end motherhoods plus make sharing or switch lanes between Pci-e , M.2 and sata ports .. add to that only one pci -e x16 with speed x16 and no more two slots running on x16 or x 8 &x8 .. I have been a customer for Gigabytes for 12 years but now I planning to transfer to BIOSTAR or Asrock or maybe MSI because they start taking the way of shield protection for ram slots, pci-e slots and so on plus, if anybody noticed the MSI Z690 Meg ACE , I can tell I never seen in my whole life motherhood has all the options that you need or will you need in the future, you can use almost everything without sharing lanes or switching between pci slots, M.2 and Sata ports .. also take a look on BIOSTAR X670E VALKYRIE ATX , its interesting design for me and maybe for others… if intel processor gave you 28 lanes so why you limit me Gigabyte or you asus, If you cannot use the motherboard space well like MSI so you should start to look for new designers and engineers

That's some proper tidy leaking right there. Amazing how none of those companies are seaworthy yet still do not ever sink.

I didn't realize 13th Gen Intel was going to have DDR4 boards. Interesting.

All 13th Gen Intel CPUs should also support DDR4 3200 memory.
